This has been a troubling question for a bit. Is it worth spending 50,000 on shematics that dont even have mods? Is there some obvious answer? Help appriciated.

You can craft it with an augment slot. So if you like how the PvP gear looks you can make it BIS.

It's currently the only way of getting Augmented gloves & boots (when taken with WH schematics that are in exactly the same position) so yes, it's worth having at least one set of them for each armour class in order to let you make fully augmented sets. Some of them, such as the Vindicator (Guardian) and Enforcer (Scoundrel, but gloves only - the boots are horrid) pairs look so much better in the BM incarnations than the WH versions that I'm sure you'll have no trouble selling them.

All that being said, the ability to add augments to pretty much any item in 1.3 will pretty much make the PvP schematics completely pointless come 1.3, so just as long as you realize you have a limited time wherein the purchase will be worthwhile.

'Course, all we know about when 1.3 is coming is supposedly "Early summer". Which would *seem* to mean 1-2 months away. But delays are always possible.
