Have you guys tried updating your drivers?

I followed the advice and did a repair this morning thinking there was no way it was going to fix the issue. Over a dozen WZ's later,,,still no sound bug. I'm hoping this is it.

I watched your video, and posted the first comment, adding my own sound experiences in addition to the ones you've shown.

I'd sure like to know what happened to the CSR who posted pages back about finding a fix that would be implemented in an upcoming patch. The several CSR responses we've received since then have been the old canned "run the repair tool and update your drivers" schtick. That poor guy was probably fired!

A friendly bump.

Just started getting more sound issues tbh. I have already unsubbed a while back, but hoped to enjoy the rest of my time remaining. Shame really.

Ever since Beta, Lightsaber "active hum" sound effects were way low in volume, and quite often stuttered in and out. After patch 1.2, the lightsaber "active hum" sound effects were fixed, could be heard clearly but with one flaw...they no longer hummed more loudly while running, but instead remained at the same volume. Since the last patch, they once again can not be hardly heard and still do not hum more loudly as you run with them active.

This has nothing to do with our sound cards, has nothing to do with our driver versions, it has to do with the patches. EVERYONE in my guild shares this same issue. Very upsetting this is not in the "Known Issues" list.
Republic: Krulex (Shadow) Kòn (Guardian) Krùll (Sentinel) Wanatrime (Vanguard)
Imperial: Wraiven (Assassin) Krullous (Marauder) Krawl (Jugg) Xiõn (Jugg)

75 Pages and the sound mess is NOT a known issue??

Really??

Still having loss of sound issues and my wife is still having them as well.

Was playing most of the day yesterday and didn't seem to be losing part of the cut-scene dialogues. But ran an Op (Karraga's Palace) last night and lost almost all of the sound, weapon effects, ambient sound. No music in the pit w/ Bonethrasher, the shuttle that drops you in made NO sound.

This can't be a driver issue or a Windows issue (I run Windows & and wife still runs XP).

Something needs to be done. After all the money you spent on voice-overs, I'd like to be able to HEAR them and the rest of the sounds in the game:X And yes, I already ran the Repair, so did my wife. Fixed it briefly but the issues returned, much like completely restarting the game will fix it... briefly:X

It seems to me that the lack or care or urgency on the part of BW to fix issues (not just the sound), will spearhead this game into a F2P in less than a year with under 200K subs remaining. WAY TOO BAD, considering the potential they are sitting on.

Only speaking from my own experiences, but my guild went from an active 10-15 people on every night during peak times to 2-3 people on, and only briefly due to the confluence of bugs. I know MANY guildies have left to play D3, and others are waiting for GW2. I consider it lucky to have 15 people in the Republic Fleet during peak hours.

Trying to run Ops or WZ's is just NOT FUN when your sound is screwed up within minutes of playing.

The only thing I could suggest BW do to save what subs remain is merge servers and emergency patch major bugs such as sound and CTD's. I for one do not want to wait a week hoping that sound will be added to each weekly patch. I'm more than happy to let them take servers down for a couple of hours the moment there is a fix ready. Also, the announcement of no maintenance this upcoming Tuesday is very disheartening for the fact that it tells me there are NO FIXES incoming.
*sigh*

Because they don't care. I spent 2 weeks troubleshooting customer service for sound issues. Yes i worded that right since customer service itself needs troubleshooting. I've reinstalled the game. I've giving them all info including an msinfo32 file showing its their problem not ours. They still deny it being their problem. They even went so far as to remove the sound of light sabers in a game called Star Wars to "hide" a static sound. Thats how pathetic they are. Rather then fix it they sweep it under a rug. But hey lets talk more about 1.3 useless content when you can't even fix 1.2 content. Lets talk about how you removed rated warzones saying "soon" but even that is not coming before 1.3. *** did you do with our money? Blow it up your noses? What a waste. GW2 here we all come.
