I bought Portal 2 for $6.00 last week. What's your point? This game has been out for five months.

If there are any CEs still sitting around at Christmas, they'll probably be slashed to less than $100 unopened. Still, how does that affect the fact that I had the CE during the five months that I played the game? It doesn't.

I got my money's worth out of it. I have access to something you will never have access to in the game unless you buy an unused CE. It doesn't matter what that thing is. In D3, I got glowy angel wings. Are they amazingly awesome game-winner items? Doesn't matter because I still have them, and you don't. That's the meaning of life.
If you pick up a novel, and see pages 2-899 only as obstacles between pages 1 and 900, then it may just be that you don't like reading.

nope, imo it was one of the worst collectors editions i've seen.

I tend to agree with this post. I have bought CE edition but there seems to be very little or practically no advantage over any other player. Practically everything worth mentioning can be bought via in-game currency ("VIP badge" for the special vendor etc.). Only one social armor-set and one pet is unique to CE if I am not mistaken (if you do not count the real life items like the statue of Malgus etc.)

Heh, you have not seen Diablo III... you get angel wings so you would not miss the other diablo-like game Sacred and that pet so you would not miss Sacred II expansion, lol...

Dont get me wrong, Diablo III is really great(even if the release is very buggy - achievement bugs, fps bugs, dcs, graphical rippling etc.), but that CE was not worth anything.

OP, you won't be missing much as far as the in-game items go, but the physical items are well worth $55 by themselves. I'm fairly sure you could hock the Malgus statue and get your money back if you wanted (not that I would... it's a pretty awesome statue).

looking at my darth malgus mini statue right now... awesome. The music was ok, rather have the kotor soundtrack.
and the Force beat generic Swords and Magic any day. 8/26/14 That was my old signature but after RotHC, I went back to superheroes and swords and magic. Now waiting on Dragon Age and a SWTOR story expac for my Bioware fix 7/30/15 Returned for KotFE. Finally, a story expac.

Statue is nice, CD is average and didnt have all the music on it.
VIP is garbage, over all 4/10.

This^ I feel incredibly cheated. Mainly because the in game C.E. items are all credit sinks....
