Not to argue mate, but that's not what we were told:

They've looked at which new planets we want to see.

Both characters transfers and mergers(more distant future) are planned.

What is reportedly causing issues with mergers are legacy and character linked story-quests.

I can certainly understand there is frustration, especially for those who really enjoy the game but cannot enjoy it because of lack of people on dead or near dead servers. The frustration seem to generate a false sense of BW not caring and that they are not caring about you, specifically, but the fact of the matter is that things does not happend at the flip of a switch. Granted, the issue of underpopulated servers have been with us for awhile...

However, it most certainly culminated into a very big issue since the release of a a very popular game. I do not doubt there are other games who's right now suffering a significant reduction in active players. Also, summer is about to come which is a notorious killer for MMOs as far as guilds go. I remember back in EQ1, Vanguard and early WoW summer being refered to as the guildbreaker. I believe what we're seeing now is just that but instead the cause is a highly anticipated game rather than vacations and people being more outdoors to enjoy the summer.

That said, BW knows about the server population problem and are working on it. I am pretty sure they're focused on getting this 100% right and glitch-free because while the low server pops are causing people to play less. A game-wide screw up on transfers/mergers will without a doubt destroy the game wholly, thus something they have to be very careful about getting right.

Overall though, stop treating game subs like a marriage. See it as an open relationship where you're free to play all kinds of different games. If you shelve a game for a few months it is still going to be there and it won't judge you.

Screw that. Promises promises.

And if you want to know why I know 1.3 will suck, just google "SWTOR 1.3" and learn something from the countless sites (including this one) where what will be available in 1.3 has and is being discussed extensively.

Here's a link for you - 1.3

Sorry, but you're just being unrealistic. If you haven't unsubbed already, you might as well go for it. You seem far too tainted to ever enjoy anything in this game again.

I played WoW for 7 years and was active on the forums probably for the latter 4 of those 7 years.

Never. Not once. Not a single time in those four years of trawling the WoW forums, did I ever see this level of negativity displayed universally across virtually every thread that gets posted. Not during Wrath, not during BC, not during Cata, not during the Swifty debacle.

It's beyond staggering the reaction that people are having to the failure of this game.

Everyone needs to make a decision for themselves as to whether they are satisfied with the product and service that they are paying for. I guess the question I would pose to the OP would be Why? Why should anyone be patient, so they are still there for your mmo experience? There are PLENTY of well made games out there for people to play. This game simply is not well made. Could it be fixed? Yes. Have we seen anything in the last 6 months that would give anyone confidence in bio-wares ability to do so? Absolutely not! 6 Months into the game and there are swtill many glaring problems, Implementation and execution have been abysmal, basic and expected mmo functionality is absent, customer service rivals Comcast's as the worst possible and the list could go on for a long time.

If this was KOTOR 3 it would have been fine, but it is not and things are not fine. Time will show TOR to be either a complete failure or a huge disappointment and heads will roll at EA and Bio-Ware regardless. ACtive subs were down 25% they said. This number is misleading. Many who have cancelled are still considered active if there accounts have not lapsed yet. the server populations tell a obvious story. I beleive it was primetime (Eastern timezone) last saturday that I looked and only 1 server was heavy and all but a couple were light. This game is not healthy and without quick and drastic action it will continue to slide into failure.

I wish it wasnt this way, but it is and those who are saying this game is fine are in denial.

Your reality maybe. Heck, I've been playing for 5 month, my highest level toon is level 43 (altaholic... I have about 20 characters on 4 servers). I still have tons of stuff to do and the three or four Hours I play per day is always a good time and highly worth the measly $15 a month. Plus, knowing Bioware is working on fixes for the issues others are having, I'm not too worried about the games longevity at all.

But then again, I'm a fanboi/biodrone/EA employee.....
