Im not looking for fights are fumers, but simply input towards these issues. I understand how these frustrations impact your gameplay, but seriously if you dont like it then dont pkay it. If you did everything you could to rectify a problem and had no success, move on. This game is still in the works and we are here judging a palette of colors and effects before they can make it to the canvas for a portrait of exhilerating beauty. I have high hopes for this game and with how well Bioshock went under Bioware (as well as Dragon Age) im sure theere is a lot we can expect to be fulfilled.
Whoa whoa whoa ... stop the tuna boat right there. So you're saying that I need to buy the portrait before it's even painted? Are you kidding me?

I paid for an oil painting from a major artist, not a half-assed pencil rendering from your local Carnival booth.

I was hoping that Conan would get polished and catch up. I was also hoping the same for LOTRO. It never happened. That's when I realized that just because Blizzard got it's act together, it doesn't mean all companies and their games will follow the same path to glory. It's just not realistic.

The lore alone is enough to keep players interested. All Bioware has to do is keep releasing content to deepen the experience and over time, it very well could be WOWish in subs. And even if it isn't, it could still be successful enough to stick around for a long time to come.

The fact is, Bioware HAS listened to their fans. Some times even to their detriment (opening up too many servers due to queues). They have changed quite a few things mainly because of fan reaction. Namely the CD system, the UI system, the difficulty, making travel faster, they're adding a LFG tool when they first said they didn't plan to, they already confirmed xrealm PVP queues are in the works, etc.

If you're the type to gobble up content in a week due to playing 6-8 hours a day, there's NOTHING any company could do to make you happy. For players that play a few hours a night, this game will already last them quite some time and that doesn't include the additional content that is sure to come (they released two content patches in the first 4 months...).

There's plenty to look forward to with this game. It sucks if you're one of the ones with several 50's on a dying server, but eventually, that issue will be resolved and you'll either be around to see it or you won't. Either way, the game will still be alive and kicking when it does happen. Some peoples current hopes that it dies won't change that fact.

Bioshock was developed by Irrational, not Bioware.

Also, you're talking about waiting for the finished product? The finished product was released 7 months ago after years and hundreds of millions of dollars.

How much more time should we give them? 5 years? 10?

The game is a lot of fun when you're new to it. Playing the first time through on each faction is great, if you liked the BioWare games that it descended from.

I challenge the notion that we ought to be patient. We're paying for a service. If we're dissatisfied with that service, we should ask the service provider to fix it and expect a fix within a reasonable timeframe. (This would be easier if the service provider gave more definitive timeframes and specific information about fixes.) If we're still dissatisfied, either with the service or the provider's response, we should stop paying for the service.

That's what consumers should do.

They don't just hate for no reason. They invested time into SWTOR, and after watching BW fumble basic things like transfers, high textures, hack elimination, killer bugs (deadly elevators and headless companions), matrix cubes and ranked warzones, they got fed up.

"Give it time" doesn't work when you've given it time and nothing improves. In fact, you start to catch hints of future failures wafting through the air, and that can be extremely depressing.

I don't need to wait to know that SWTOR has issues. It has issues now. They are not being addressed.

Keep ignoring reality. The fantasy world where you live must be lush and verdant.
You want to know what's sad? The game felt more complete in weekend beta testing than it does now (for me anyway).
What does this mean? I don't even ...

Alright i am done with this post as my intentions were to give a renewed hope to a game that apparently everyone has some remorse for playing in the first place. My time spent playing this game obviously has a greater reflection than my overall gaming experience of 24 years. I dont need a level 50 in Star Wars to know the frustrations of playing an MMO where at the end game content level there is minimal interactions and very few things to do. Ive been there before on other games and it seems no matter how many times or ways i state that fact im still going to be treated as someone who is inexperienced regardless of any other factors.

I've been patient for a few months now.

I'm tired of people telling me to view the game more like they do, to play the game more like they do, and to treat the game more like they do.

I'm not you, thankfully, so please, stop trying to tell other people how they should be playing and viewing this game. It isn't your place.

I have never seen "deadly elevators". I have never seen "headless companions". The matrix cubes were corrected quickly. Games which want a long future won't be offering transfers quickly, not least because they expected growth, not dying servers. And so on.

The "haters" hate because they tend to be antisocial sociopaths with nothing better to do than rant endlessly on internet forums. Many here might not have even played the game at all. You can clearly see the problems these individuals suffer from when you read a hate post and the writer mentions that they quit the game weeks or months ago. A normal person would have moved on. A disturbed person instead trolls the forums of a game he left behind long time ago.
Think of this: If you will play a Jedi or a Sith, now you will never get to take your apprentice to fight with you in flashpoints, warzones or raids. You will never face together any of the big end-game bosses.

Im not telling anyone to do anything. How you took this post is your own choice.
