Hey guys this isnt a whine or a cry post its a remember when post.

Anyone else remember when class quests only came like every 10 lvls or so. And raids was exactly that you fought your way through an area to battle some major league boss.

Grouping wasnt quest driven it was lvl driven. You would group up run to some camp in a remote corner of the open world just hopeing it had an empty spot lol. Spent hours and hours killing the same mobs over and over.

But that didnt realy matter because you was to busy making friends or just chatting it up with your friends and the others in the area. Sometimes the grind was a pain sure, But at the end of the day even tho you only made maybe 2 or 3 lvls. You still felt like you acomplished something.

And unless you was just a douche bag usaly when you needed help many of the community came to help. And exspected the same from you .

Man raids was plains of sky plains of disease. Mist mooore ,Isle of dread lol. Those was great man spend all night maybe killing 2 ,3, possibly 4 bosses and just usaly having a blast doing it.

Those are the things that made mmo's great to me. Those are the friends that even tho alot of them i only knew as screen names and avatars i still to this day think about and wonder how they are.

Those are the things i miss the most.

I remember when you could attack anyone in the open world at any time and should they die you could also loot their corpse. I remember when you died you had to run back to your body and hopes the other guys left some gear.

AHHHHHH

the good old days........before the carebears...... before the wow

ALL I WANT TO DO IS GANK YOU AND TAKE YOUR LOOTZ

Sure, I miss having too much free time, gaming for countless hours and chatting forever ingame but those days are gone for me. I grew up and I have responsabilities. I'm ok with that.

Even when your corpse couldn't be looted, I remember the LONG walks to get back to your gear. I remember traveling to be traveling. 20 minutes to walk to the next zone. No automated travel. Back then the game was what it was. you accepted it. Being level cap was an accomplishment in its own right.

Do I miss these things? yes, would I like to see some of these old school elements introduced into TOR? Sure. But TOR as is, well that's good for me. I recognize that today's crowd does not have the patience to play lengthy games. But that is ok. The game is what it is and If I didn't like it I wouldn't play it.
Not fact, just my opinion.

Fair enough ..And for whats its worth i realy didnt mean this as a jab at Swtor i was just remembering the old days.
And wonderd if anyone else ever felt the same. With all the goods and bads of swtor wow and pretty much all other mmo's around, Sometimes just seems a shame that the old ways are all but lost is all.

I also very much miss Pre-Cu SWG and being a BH running missions on player jedi killing them and knocking them down the xp chain.

The joys, countless hours stalking said jedi as he hides in his house to finally slaying him and watching him cry rivers.
