Who else would like to have the Nautolan's as a playable race?!? (Jedi Master Fisto was of this race.)
There are many Nautolan'ss in the game as NPCs.

(Will existing pliers be given the option to buy a race change ever?)

I've been told repeatedly that it was too difficult, even though the game already has basic-speaking Nautolan NPCs as well as artwork and voicing for most of the iconic alien species.

My personal favourite was SR on twitter essentially arguing that there was no demand for other species because of dialog difficulties for cut-scenes, no one wanted to hear alien languages with sub-titles. Basically implying that BW fans can't or don't enjoy reading. Well, with what I've seen on these forums, that may not be far from the truth.

Considering many cut scenes are buggy and broken anyway, what does it really matter if they hack in some extra playable species and charge us full expansion price? The animations are so far off and the dialog choices are 90% meaningless, so I spacebar them. Basically, the devs don't want to do it, and so they come up with all these excuses for why they can't do it. I get the feeling many of them don't have any passion for this project and are only staying for the steady pay check. I can't say I blame them, but I would at least pretend to care if I were them.

I would absolutely love the play as a Nautolan! I love kit fisto and being able to play his race would be a major selling point for me.

First they got to fix the head clipping issues, then the Twi'lek + hoods issue, then the mask + hood issue.

After all these have been resolved, then they will be able to buglessly release aliens with more exquisite heads as playable races.

Teamwork is essential; it gives the enemy other people to shoot at.

Well, we already know that the Cathar will be the first new species BW will introduce.
Let's hope good things will come from that....
Quote:
CelCawdro: What are your long-term plans for implementing playable species? Are Cathar merely the first of semi-regular species additions?

Daniel: Like all of our ongoing content updates, we’ll release Cathar into the wild and see how they perform. If new species are clearly popular we’ll keep them coming!
