Precisely. There is nothing that is more game-breaking than the server not being up.

Dead servers are the very definition of a broken MMO. It doesn't matter if it's scheduled or unscheduled, accidental or planned, a down server is a broken game. It needs to be minimised, not brought up to twice a week.
0.00008 light speed? But that's only a lousy 86,000 kph!

I just came back to the game and funnily enough the two days i go to log on this week when i have time, you guys have maintenance both days.

And even then, i am migrated to the "Aussie" server, and you guys insist and making 'our' downtime the same as the US - whats the point?

And yet...this thread will still probably be closed, if not moved to an obscure wing of the board, because Bioware hates when we point out how badly they screwed the pooch.

So no matter that we're well mannered, it seems Bioware is content to ignore anyway.
Look, we got four or five of the main characters on this ship. I think we're gonna be okay.

Im really starting to think the only way to get thru to these people is to do so with your wallets........Sad though that may be, thats the last alternative.

Their silence speaks volumes on this matter......................The longer they remain silent, the deeper the resentment goes.....

"Thank you for your patience as we maintain service for Star Wars™: The Old Republic™"

Patience is definitely wearing thin.

I didn't have the relic problem as I haven't reached 50... due to being kicked off during prime time, after work, when I'm trying to reach 50.

As for maintaining service? How about increasing service rather than maintaining it at the current ***** level.

Very close to defecting.

Compensation or reduced prices should definitely be considered if they want to keep players.

May the patch-ience be with you

Why am I paying each month for a constantly broken product.

When it is my prime time (NOW) the servers are down.....

Honestly these people dont want to keep making money.

If I could get a refund on my 6 months i would....

disapointed
Look at the size of that thing

Why do people keep saying "Prime Time"?? The only time zone in this patch that is effected in "Prime Time" is AEST, the rest are all off peak hours.

Well, it seems to me that despite my hopes, Bioware and/or EA, still have a lot to learn from Blizzard and their World of Warcraft.

I really don't mind the patches or the downtime, as it usually applies when I'm off to work, but I can really understand the frustration from other players that it does ruin much of the game experience for.

Most of the players have spoken up about this, along with other changes that should be applied as soon as possible, not end up with ghost-servers. I'm seeing maximum 7-9 players pr. planet on the European Sith'ari, that is bad.

Still, I'd say, keep up the good work, make this game reach the potential it has.

The reason is simple, BW have started ignoring people on the population problem because it was caused by people complaining about a population problem (the queues that we had in the early stages of the game). If people hadn't moaned so much back then we wouldn't have had the population problems that wee have now as there would be less servers.
