Besides, some patches are not even up to standard to be uploaded onto PTS.
Basically they have a serious TQC problem.
I am guessing there are merely any programmer in BW understand all the source codes and they are trying to fix things that they don't really know a lot ... thus so many flaws in the fix.
Yeah but before patch 1.2 they HAD copied over high level guilds (and members obviously). So that not really an excuse, they know how to do it.

My guess is BioWare does this on purpose, they are just masochistic and want to see us rant each week on the forums.

THIS. Forum whiners complain about the lack of a public test server, but very few of them ever actually *use* a testing server when they're available. Damn few of them, because a) playing on a copy of their toon that doesn't get to keep its rewards never appeals to that kind of mindset, and b) they're incapable of writing a useful bug report. It would require some kind of effort on their part.

And then THIS. What they really mean is that they demand the PTS be online, and also everybody ELSE should go and do the testing.

Sorry to disappoint you but not everyone is how you discribe. Sure some might be. But i did used to check out the PTS because i was always curious what new changes they made and if they improved things.

But the other thing that people who maybe couldnt write bug reports, there was the forum, the PTS forum was useful for even just posting and saying "me too" on issues.

Also... look at the timing, the PTS hasnt been used since patch 1.2 has come out.... and guess what? since patch 1.2 has come out there has been what, maybe one week where we only had ONE maintence in it.

Bioware needs to build a test server community, and or adopt facebooks policy of deploying patches to only a portion of the live serves (those poor aussie folks would seem to be ripe targets for this) at a time.

No one on the forums should feel an obligation to play on test, but they should feel like they'd get something out of it if they did, or they should see that playing on test has some perks beyond just seeing the content before everyone else.

i completely and utterly agree with you on this one. it would make a HUGE difference. and show people that they are indeed trying to fix things to the best of their abilities, as some may be starting to wonder about by this time.
And yes, i wouldn't be too bothered if they had to deploy new patches 3 times a week if it wasn't in peak hours for the aussie servers.

I'd rather they took some time with the patches.. then continuously screw ***** up with em.
But yeah. I'm actually quite insulted about all this, I figured all the videos they did & how much money the game cost it would.. well work. They cannot keep using the "It's only a young game" excuse any more. It's past 1.2 & pre launch bugs have not been fixed yet. It's time they got serious & got their finger out.

Happy customers subscribe for years. Unhappy customers subscribe for a few months at most. They aren't doing this on purpose as a way to leech money from you. They want the patches to be flawless, just like you. Making them out to be some mustache twirling fiends is just paranoid.

Another MMO Savior? You will hop from MMO to MMO. Each time it doesn't come out with fifty content updates a month you will unsub and proclaim on the forums as you leave, "I've given up on X and am eagerly awaying Y!"

First off, look up for some actual examples of poor customer service and disrespect: Comcast and AT&T.

Each time I have ever contacted Bioware customer service, via phone or in-game, it has been very respectful... not sure what you are going on about but please do it quietly.

Yes, they want to inconvenience you to steal your sub money. Because it's a well known fact that people just THROW money at things that they loathe and dislike.
