Did Guild Wars 2 Beta....laughed at the once again over-hype of fans as the game was no where near ground-breaking, will stay with SWTOR. I don't think Guild Wars 2 is going to be as impressive as people thought, just like what happened with this game. The Holy Grail of games is still out there to find...it certainly isn't this game and it is not Guild Wars 2. Won't stop people from over-hyping. The numbers show a pretty good retention after release if you look at them objectively. I am still on the fence about staying for a long period with SWTOR, but I will give them a chance and see what they have in store for the future.

Come on, that's just ridiculous. I cant believe people would trust data on a site that doesnt consider Guild Wars an MMO.

His stuff is completely subjective and biased based on his own rules.

And hasnt Xfire been proven to be pretty NOT accurate for player numbers?
Guild wars does not have subscribers... DUH!

His stuff is not completely subjective. It is inferential though, which can be very accurate if reasonable sets of sources are available and if the inference methodology is sound and consistent

XFire is not his source for absolute numbers. However he uses it as a source to double check scale and trending, for which XFire is a reasonable source.

You are trying too hard to bury your head IMO.

Ouch.
I'm sure players from Afghanistan are really going to bring in those numbers.

Quite so.

For now one thing is certain, apart a handful of servers the game feels dead.
Hopefully the character transfer will help a lot

you could say this

but you gotta remember one thing.these are investors, not whiney kids on a internet forum.im sure they look at more then 1 mmo in the mmo genre to base there "well, this market is fail lets pull out my money and go to another market"

i think a big part of the problem with sw tor is.bioware is new to the mmorpg genre, and its community obviously wasnt willing to stick with the game thru its growning pains, the 25 percent sub loss is a example

I'm not burying my head. I dont CARE about SWTORs subscribers. I just argue that MMData gets quoted FAR to much when in fact there is no reasonable way to judge how he comes up with his numbers.

Some guy above argued I wont support it because it doesnt fit my argument. What argument? I couldnt care less how many subscribers SWTOR has, as long as I can still log in, who cares. I was simply saying a LOT of his data is completely irrelevant because he doesnt cite his sources.
