PS - Welcome back to the thread, Andryah.

PPS - Is that pronounced "An-dree-ah"?

My dinner was fine thank you, how about yours???

I don't harp, you do. So, thanks for harping even more Dezzi.

I stand by my distinction that an EA exec in an analysts call using the term "casual" means something different then our common use of the term in the MMO community. Its the nature of how they speak, Your delibrate misunderstanding is your issue, not mine. Communications problems are common in these forums of course.

Subs are fine, and will be for the forseeable future as far as I am concerned. The only thing they need to do is keep promoting the game (which they said they would do), and get the server transfer mechanics released so people can top whining about dead servers, transfer to one that is not dead, and the community can move on to the next rant de jour.
When you find yourself surrounded by hostile Clowns... always go for the "Juggler" first.

The online portion of the game is garbage.

It's a decent single player game built on mediocre at best MMO mechanics.

In your opinion, of course.

I enjoy the MMO part very much.

How, then, do you arrive at this super special, unprecedented use of the word "casual"? Casual players means casual players, and the fact that they delineate a difference between casuals and trials speaks volumes.

The only one deliberately misunderstanding is you; you're the one trying to read tea leaves while the rest of us just read what they said.

If you saw some other mention that specifically related to SWTOR and microtransactions, where was that? Can you be more specific?
Just a guess from the quote and the state of the game

Game is bleeding out subs.
All the execs knows how Turbine did well with DDO and LotRo then FunCom with AoC.
All the video game producers I know are having wet dreams about micro transactions.
They'll follow the trend as they failed with the subs model for TOR.

WHy the heck do people keep saying only 400k lost.

Its 400k since February. Over the LIFE of the game its;

1.1 Million

2.4 million sold. Only 1.3 million subscribed. Simple math here.

Simple as that.

The crafting is tedious (20-40 minutes on a single item so you can reverse engineer it for an RNG chance at learning the recipe you want?): Garbage

No group finder: Garbage

Tired holy trinity class mechanics: Garbage

Melee hate everywhere in pve, doesn't help the balance between ranged and melee: Garbage

PVP revolves around an arbitrary PVP stat that inherently makes you more effective across the board in PVP combat: Garbage

No cross server PVP, suffering from faction imbalances so you get the same warzone (Huttball) all day every day: Garbage

Open World PVP zones are ghost towns: Garbage

Let's not forget that while it may be cool the first time you do it, flashpoints with lots of conversation CRAWL due to having to wait on people's loading times for responses. Can be this way in heroics or grouping with someone in landscape content as well.

Those conversation/dialogue wheels are cool when you're soloing, but when you're with other players.. not worth it, it crawls and people spacebar anyway to try and speed it up.
