We're half glass full people. You see "Loss of 400K" and we see "Retention of 1.3 Million". It's anyone's guess if they level out, get better, get worse, etc. The fact is, for now, the game still has a very good player base half a year into it's life span. That's actually pretty good....

The 1.3 is end of quarter according to the article....

This team has always been reactionary. I'm not surprised.

What are you talking about?

Losing 25% means that the game is still growing.

25% just left to make room for the new 25% coming.

A. I don't have any reason to take you seriously if you can't take federally regulated press releases as truth.

B. Irrelevant.

It says 1.2 Mil subs but keep in mind that free month everyone received. There are a ton of subs that are not counted as being dropped due to that free month because they are still coded as active. Sub loss is actually closer to 50% but the free month lets them make the shareholders feel better.

A fiscal quarter is 3 months, let's just call that 1/4 of a year or 91 days.

400,000 / 91 = 4,396 people leaving the game per day.

There are 24 hours in a day.

4,396 / 24 = 183 leaving the game per hour.

Or about 3 per minute.
Right but that is not how it actually happens. It's not a steady stream, unsubbs are usually in bursts due related to an event. (i.e. Patch content.) Honestly when i see things like this it makes me think the person doing it is throwing common sense to the wind to appear to be book smart.

A. If companies lie to investors, the federal government goes after them. I doubt EA would be willing to risk an SEC investigation over subscription numbers.

B. Is irrelevant. Without the Star Wars tie-in the game would have had a much tinier budget, would have been a completely different game, and would have a different standard for success or failure.
