Yes because I am sure you know what EA Executives are stating to BioWare, sure.

You guys really want the game to die?

You want it to die this much?

Really?

Why?

I don't understand this. At all.

Different terminology <> "blatant lie".

In software development, a "patch" usually just refers to a series of fixes. Stuff like 1.2, which included new content (as well as fixes) doesn't really fit that description. In gaming terminology, a "patch" can just be fixes, or it can be any roll-out of new content and features that is being provided to customers for free, along with any fixes. Telling investors "We're providing a couple of patches" would just indicate to them that they're doing fixes. "Expansion" probably is a more accurate description of what they'd be looking for.

Anyway, in response to a bunch of what I've seen: as others mentioned the expansion into new quarters isn't reflected in the number , since most of that was after the quarter reported.

And yes, 1.3 million is still a lot of people, and most MMOs would love to have that many people. But a 25% drop on a game this young is bad, no matter how you look at it.

1.) Proves the game is not dead and shuts up doomsayers who previously had a fairly convincing argument.
2.) 1.3 million is probably the best retention rate seen since Warcraft.
3.) We have no idea how much Legacy 1.2 and 38 new prospects have increased the Sub numbers.
Yes we do. Look at TORstats which predicted it acurately. Tor shows another 10%+ drop in the month of april alone. That would put subs at just over 1 million.

If you'd read the rest of the thread you'd know that the numbers for launching in 38 countries aren't in this financial report. Those launches will appear in Q2 report.

This means the game is only making 20 million dollars a month!

I'm surprised they don't just pull the plug right now.

Market analyst's can be unforgiving and they are wrong sometimes too, remember the .DotCom fiasco or the recent Mortgage mess?,anyhow many of these guys were most likely looking for compounded growth the first six months and basing numbers from WoW or something else

But trust me on this with BW holding these numbers in this economy is a very good sign,is there room for improvement? ofcourse you can say the same for any buisness, lets just hope they have a plan that they are following through on and dont act too hastily or the CFO's do that is.

Personally i think they released alittle too early, but that happens to every game the different teams could spend years adding, refining things, at some point you gotta bite the bullet yah know.

^ thank you for saying what I was thinking
and the Force beat generic Swords and Magic any day. 8/26/14 That was my old signature but after RotHC, I went back to superheroes and swords and magic. Now waiting on Dragon Age and a SWTOR story expac for my Bioware fix 7/30/15 Returned for KotFE. Finally, a story expac.

well i guess this where i come in and say i told you so.look at the community, they arent willing to give a new mmorpg the chance to grow

its quite obvious.i just hope the same thing doesnt happen to guild wars 2,wouldnt want to be forced to quit the mmorpg genre altogether cuz its terrible community killed all the potential new mmorpgs
