Yup. The OP is likely from the daily comm vendor, my black hole implant was from the Campaign and Black Hole guy who takes Black Hole comms. I was lucky and learned the schematic on the first try (20% chance).

We have 4 HM groups running so a fair amount of mats from that. Then space missions and guild mate's space missions.

With x = 13 it's about 0.88 and with x = 20 about 96.

To the guy you quoted:
0 crits is still in the 95% ci (assuming normal) in both cases so it's fine.

People have crit the implants. I have yet to hear of a crit craft augmented relic.

I haven't heard of many relics being crafted, though. I'd like to hear if someone gets one.

You should stop wasting all your expensive mats until they add the legacy passive for crit crafting.

By which point there will possibly also be (A) new gear or (B) the ability to add augments to existing gear. Also, who knows how much they're going to charge for it and how much of a boost it'll be. I'm definitely very much looking forward to that perk, and have been, but 1.3 is still some time away. =)

I imagine people are less willing (and able) to throw away 200 daily commendations for a shot at a schematic than they are 35 black hole commendations for an implant. A LOT less work.

I actually have the Schematic for a Campaign Relic of Boundless Ages, and so far none of the 7-8 attempts yielded a crit (while this may be due to the chance), but the problem with Rakata Relics is way more obvious.

would be great if we can get an answer to this instead of bioware letting us waste millions of credits worth of mats on trying.

i've yet to get proof they can be crit crafted (all it would take is a screenshot from someone who claims they have done it)
