bump. I am not sure how but sounds seem to be degrading daily. *** Bioware. Fix your game.

Noticed the sound issues now for the first time. Been questing with my Warrior and suddenly there was no sound anymore when opening windows, such as your inventory, or worse, quest- and storyrelevant NPC's would "talk" but without lipmovement and audio.

Very annoying to say the least
. Never forget

4 weeks in and still no fix for the sound. Still no acknowledgement of sound issues in the known issues thread.

Sound problems that still exist
1) speeders dont stop playing their sound when you stop moving
2) looping engine sound as soon as you start the game on the server selection screen(which becomes pure static once the sound breaks in-game)
3) companions, light saber and other sounds only playing through one speaker depending on which side the sound is coming from(2.1 speaker setup not surround sound 2.1<---***)
4) loud looping static sounds that play over and over once you join a single warzone, quest, fp, operation, world pvp, etc
5) companions sound as if talking through a tin can from 50 feet away even when wearing a helmet that doesnt cover their mouth(ex. talos dralik) yet they sound fine when saying goodbye upon dismissing them.

How long are you going to act like this problem does not exist? What i dont get is how you can start your game and hear the looping engine sound playing and NOT consider it an issue. 30 free days since 1.2 is up soon. How many days do we get free for playing with this issue? Also restarting SWTOR is NOT a fix. The game breaks within seconds of joining a warzone again. Since i only pvp that won't be a solution. I'll be sure to call customer service once the 30 day anniversary of 1.2 comes to get more free days. You got one more week to solve the issue before everyone drives your call center reps batty.

Same here, during gamplay the audio stop to work as intended, so no audio during quest (lol same bug of mass effect 2 on my Ps3) audio start to have many issues and the only fix is to quit and relog in the game. This is a Swtor bug, windows and all other application has no issues with audio and this is connected with the disaster patch 1.2
Pls fix it

Quoted for truth. Can someone PLEASE at lease acknowledge this problem even if you have zero clue what's causing it?

Nearly a month with no fix whatsoever, it's beyond ridiculous. It's as if I'm waiting for a fix for an indie game that I bought for 1,99$ on Steam sales. Can such a HUGE problem not be focused on by such a big company that asks for subscription fees and an initial premium price?

Link 1 is with Sound FX ON and I press my macro which consists of a few hotkeys.

Link 2 is with Sound FX OFF and even though it turned off the rest of the sound fades. In other words, I can only really play without sound, or else I would go crazy.

As mentioned this sound issue was not an issue pre-1.2. As I show in Link 1 when I am in the preference menu, it seems to me that it is the same sound which now is bound to hotkeys, but scaled up.

Thank you for correcting this matter as soon as possible.
I'm not usually one to make drama, but you have one week to fix this or I'm out. I'm not paying the largest gaming company in the world to work 8-4 while something as easy to fix as sound and turning it off for hotkeys is not corrected.

An MMO is an opportunity for a gaming company to become filthy rich. You are obviously not interested in that.

I think many of us are feeling that way.

It really makes the game very unenjoyable, and if there's little enjoyment in a game, why continue playing it?

It's hard to predict when the sound gets to the point where you need to reload the client too. It's usually not until someone plants the bomb in Voidstar and you don't hear it, when you realize it's time to reload. Or when you're running ahead of the ball carrier in Huttball and turn around to get a pass when you realize the the ball carrier was killed and the other team is already on their way to your endzone, but you didn't hear Baron Deathmark comment about it.

When you're used to the audio cues, not having them all of the sudden is game breaking.

FIX IT!
