You can barter for it from the spaceship vendor droid on republic/imperial station. I'm impressed you've been able to complete any missions without this item, it helps a lot.

Don't forget that you can move the ship without moving your crosshairs- your forward/backward/turn left/turn right buttons will move your ship. Rolling while cycling those to move in a circle around your crosshair works wonders.
