Sadly, this is one of the implications of releasing group finder without DS. Since group finder is going to be server wide only(initially) I foresee this becoming a very large problem for low population servers.

What I mean is it is a must in order to give players the best experience possible (and as a result give new players a good impression). Your post is completely perplexing, you do realise you're playing a game which is essentially a carbon copy of WoW in space minus the some of features that make Blizzards mmo so huge, yet you don't want it to be like WoW.

I could, but why should I? There are plenty of other games with this very useful game feature already implemented.

I'll be happy once it's in game. Until then I'll wait happily for it to be done right instead of rushed.
Let this sink in, this game is Free to Play, boasts one of the most popular IPs on the planet and yet 76.47% of the servers are empty.

Yet another standard feature of modern MMOs we still don't have closing in on 6 months after release.

They also mentioned that new Legacy features are also being focused on for 1.3 not just the LFG tool. Seriously, I would take dual spec development over Legacy.

You have no idea how easy or difficult something is by looking at it. Even if you understand that particular source code, implementing it is another issue.

As to how I feel?

I expected something wouldn't make the cut with them rushing the dungeon finder.

I like how they cave to peoples demands about the finder and when they have to cut something else they get complaints about that.
Many things were not about simple - but about priority. We only just recently got the ability to rightclick guild members to invite to group from the guild list. Real hard to adjust the menu listings. Right click to invite is already in game. Just in another menu.

We still cant right click to send them a message.

These boards kill me. They should charge for this type of entertainment.
yup, they are giving what most been screaming for

and it will not change a thing because the group issues and server transfers are a result of no social/interactive/community building content

And according to EAoware, Paazaak, swoop racing, and other social activities that will bring people togather are not in the forseeable future!

So the same cancellation rate will continue because the real issues of game will continue!

People get bored with what there currently is. It still plays like a Single player game so desire to group is relatively low.

EAoware is reacting to the result of the issue rather then the issue.

PS: As for dual spec, I really dont see a need for it. When I was grouping at release regularly Id say 80% of the players who brought up dual spec couldnt play (or didnt understand) their single spec as it was.

Not a vital patch for me by any means.

Closing: Content that brings the player base togather in a social building concept is whats missing in this game.

So until they put out Public Grouping (Ala Rift RIFTS), DAoC RVR (faction/realm defences of relics for the greater good of the realm/faction and not for personal gain only), Paazaak, Swoop Racing (Ala K1 only...plus veiw screen in cantinas to watch races and place wagers on time), holochess, Bejarik (or how its spelt), Pit fighting in cantinas (ala K1 and K1).

Till they put these social community building concepts into game so players actually have a reason to meet and greet other players of their server (and outside their guild), this game will suffer the long term negative effects its currently suffering.

Oh Server transfers/merges and LFG will help short term to be sure. And many short sighted people will proclaim all problems fixed 2 days after patch. 2 months later though, they will be asking for more server merges and expanded LFG options because the REAL ISSUES in this game will have arose again.

EAoware, can you just fix the freaking problems already!
Fix the real problems and these reactions will fix themselves!

PS: I been a fan of the Legacy stuff so far so more is good on that front! Should have been in at launch but what ever, least legacy adds to the game at hand.

I find it foolish that you except them to release a feature that isn't perfected. Or do you want them to hold that patch off until it is? That would be foolish since the other feature people want will be ready. You know, it would be foolish to hold back features people want only because another feature isn't quite ready yet.

Yeah i really want dual spec and have since the game launched but theres quite a few other things that need to be addresed first.

And same server lfg tool? totaly useless waste of time, if its not cross-server que times will take forever. Yes even after they do transfers.

Bioware needs to get a grip on the real world and get working on a cross server lfg tool or they will have to keep transfering people to servers that arent empty.
