Well sure we can all use a furry little rat to kick around once in a while. I guess I'd be on board for that.

(Though in hindsight, I do recall an actual furry little rat like race in KOTOR, but you get the point)

Let me say right now...PLEASE DONT allow these players to influence you to turn this game into a clone of wow!!!

A lot of this (if not ALL) is coming from people who played wow for the last 5 years and have gotten used it,and now want to drag that junk into this game. Most of us who also played wow LEFT it in order to get AWAY FROM a lot of the foolishness that was going on there.Im seeing people in SWTOR asking for damage meters,"item level" or "gear score" indicators, and all that junk which over time just made wow more of a job to play than a game.

SWTOR is a brand new game with a great future ahead of it.Dont let these people cause you to ruin that by crying for stuff to be added to it from a game that now sees panda`s as it own bright shiny future....

The day i log into SWTOR and see someone in chat saying "LFM Foundry +350 IL req or no invite pst" is the day i cancel my SWTOR subscription....and believe me,there are people out there who are asking for exactly that.

If you want stuff that was in wow...then go play wow....dont bring that DISEASE over to SWTOR.
I'm sure this was said but HP = gear score. If you have under 14k HP then you aren't ready for HM operations. You also need damage meters to kick out the underperformers. In 1.1 some people in trade said, "Want to do hardmodes, no knights please." and in 1.2 everyone wants knights in their groups. Also, I like pandas and in some other non-WoW game that looks really fun you can make a certain race look like pandas. That particular race looks really fun but I decided on another game instead. Beta testing it in another tab but came back here. Oh, and despite that game having its second day closed beta I can adjust the window size there without a significant load time.

Then play that game if it's so fun, and leave SWTOR alone?

Loose the console casual mentality if you want to play MMORPG's. Otherwise you should just single player games.
This, this post right here is BS. "you should just single player games", "lose the console casual mentality", really? First off who the hell are you to decide how and who should play or not play an MMO? Second, you get snarky little people that are incapable of even adapting to a less then perfect group dynamic and they lose all sense of direction. They blacklist based on gear. For what? I could have a top notch toon with all of the gear in the world and be rolling an alt, by god that is certainly not unheard of for me given the severity of ADHD I have when it comes to rolling alts. SO I just rolled another Alt and even if Ive run that FP/Op a thousand times before and know it inside and out I'm not good enough becasue I don't have X item yet? GFY! The ONLY plus side to stupid **** like that is I get to see who the inept and incapable are and get to add them to my list of people NOT to run with.

I want this game to be exactly like WoW. In fact, I'd like to be able to transfer over my lvl 80 Night Elf Hunter off Blizzard's Elune server onto the Sith Wyrm server here at TOR. How cool that would be! And wouldn't it be sweet to have your Sith Juggernaut strut through Stormwind on a Saturday night?

I should have went into game concept development rather than accounting.

A hunter with over 50k HP and 4000 AGI, that sounds fair -_-

I do like the Sith through Stormwind idea! He'll have to go through the Cata areas to be a match for the guards. Maybe in the next expansion we could level to 80 and have over 100 million HP! Then we'd be able to defeat Garrosh, Varian, etc.

Game cards aren't out for it yet though I thought about preordering but went with another.

While I'd love to see a panda like race in SWTOR it just wouldn't work for the same reason that Wookies wouldn't. A Gungan romancing a twilek or human would be... quite awkward -_- which is why there are only human races. I'd like to see wookies and such eventually but only if they find a way to make it work.

I played WoW and there were many good things about that game. Like it or not they set a standard for certain things (for example being able to modify the user interface).

Just because they incorporate some things former WoW gamers come to expect, does not mean this game is a clone.

This game has more story. This game has actual voice acting. You get to see your own character in those cut scenes. They have lovingly recreated the world that Lucas dreamed up.

So we have mini-pets and maybe (hopefully) animal mounts. I don't see any issue with that. I want my own thranta.

without wow bioware would have no reason to create swtor because, lets face it the whole idea behind this games creation was to take down blizzard and steal its cash cow.

because money, not sentiment, makes the world go round.
Don't forget without EQ WOW would not have existed so take that argument and go home, there is and has always been a previous game that was evolved to a "newer" version. And no one needs to take down WOW they are doing a fine job all by themselves. BTW former WOW player who quit because of all the garbage they put in the game.

Without Gamesworkshop Blizzard would not have existed.
