FREE Character Transfers are Coming!

You can see why they give ua a free month with game in so much of a mess.The question is can they make it better for low pop .They tryed with ilum and failed let hope its not to late in the summer.

It had to happen and im very happy they are finally doing something but i still resent them for ploughing on with 1.2 when server transfers and players stranded on dead servers was the prime problem that needed addressing first.

Problem is the horse has bolted, many players have abandoned the game some time ago due to being stuck on dead servers. With TERA and GW2 on the way many won't bother coming back now.

However, the real underlying problem still hasn't been addressed, the physical servers are poor and the server population cap is rediculously small for a modern mmorpg.

they are taking way way to long to get this sorted and needs to be priority
imo they should get transfers out before anything else now

Bioware is doing what everyone wants as fast as they can.

Feedback and crying about leaving for other games cuz things dont happen fast enough isnt the same.

People saying its too late dont help, why are they posting if its too late? Why are they looking at this forum? Saying its too late means you never wanna come back. Watching the forums indicates that you want to come back and are waiting for a reason.

They OBVIOUSLY listen to our feedback. But things just take time to do.

Remember feedback = what you like and do not like and what you want to see changed.

Cant wait for those transfers though!!! The faster the better. I agree that it should be the #1 priority.

Yeah, hope he has fun in that bug filled mess of a cash shop game. I can't wait for that game to release just so I can laugh at all the fanbots who said that game would kill TOR. If the BETA fiasco is any indication, it should be a fun summer. :

So false. The average gamer takes much more then 2 weeks to get to 50. I take about 5 days gametime to get to 50 on my last guy (in part because we're a PvP guild, and do a good bit of 10-49s). Divide that out over 3 hour chunks, and that's basically 4-5 weeks. I have loads of guildies who took longer. We're adults with jobs, kids, and wives to factor in.

They do need to either add more slots for the players that had to re-roll and/or link x-server legacy so that you can have a Imp server & a Rep server.
The linking would be easier on them than moving characters about to slots that people don't have... Square pegs & round holes!
We may end up on 1.1.4 though come patch day! /sarc! Lol.

I to am pleased with the server transfers. I do however, feel that some of the less populated ones should be closed for the time being and i wish we could have more than 5 toons on the same server.

We can have 8...

And they're making it possible to have more.

I hope they do this right.
Using myself as an example.

Pre-launch I joined a large guild via the swtor website guild finder. This guild was auto-assigned to the Veela pvp server. Couple months after launch Veela died and most of my guild quit the game. This left me with a level 50 / Legacy level 18 Bounty Hunter. Frustrated I re-rolled a Sith Inquisitor on Ajunta Pal (A thriving RP-PVP server) and have been there since.
Ajunta-Pal = Med-high pop server.
Veela = Low pop server.

Will I be able to get a free transfer for my marooned BH??? It's not my fault the server population dropped so I should be able to xfer him for free to my main's server right???

Also I have legacy on both servers, how will that work?
