If you cancel your recurring subs you would have no access to the forums (and never would on a gamecard).

I'm confused as to what you think he was saying?
It is still recurring with a gametime card guy. Also it would know if you hit cancel or not right? I use gametime cards I know this to be a fact. My account says recurring even tho I use a gametime card. You are mistaken.

The cost involved is not worth it. Better to spend that money on new content and bug fixes for the millions who DO like the game.
"Millions" is a bit hopeful, at best it's a million and a bit (total sales are only just in the millions atm).

However you don't even know why they quit, but even now you're saying "good riddence", this is exactly what I mean in my post above.

No MMORPG can prosper without both attracting new players and re-attracting old players, as well as trying to keep those that are playing.

I've no idea why so many here seem to think that fishing from a decreasing pool is a good business stratergy.
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?

Well, I'm finding it difficult to reconcile how an ingame population can remain unchanged, especially from a launch surge, and still lose subs? It'd have to be subs of people that never logged in, and that's highly unlikely...

How can it bill you automatically for a new game card?

Ask Bioware. You are mistaken tho it does say recurring on my account and I use gametime cards to pay.

It's called "churn". Every MMO has it, every developer does what they can to minimize it. There is no way to prevent it.

The game currently has about 1.7 million subscribers and growing everyday. Not only have they expanded into APAC but also into the middle east and numerous other countries. We will find out more in May but I would guess the population has grown to over 2 million by now.

I'm not saying there is, I'm saying it's amazing how many posters here actively don't want people to come back.

Nor want changes to the game to encourage that.

Quite clearly the Bioware devs and EA accounts WILL want people to come back and will do what they can (and are - look at 30 days free).

"Recurring", in this instance, is a declaration of intent from the subscriber. Game card numbers have to be entered manually every month, or for as often as the game card is purchased for.

Also, if it's a 3-month game card, it's technically "recurring", as it's a monthly stipulation.
