windows vista 64 and am having all the issues ,customer services says they need to know what on MY computer is causing the issue ,someone must have sneaked in when I wasn't looking and installed something the same days the game was being ripped apart from Leg Arsy 1.2 abc1 invite your friends to play for free while the game is unplayable ,get your free taun-taun pet that disconnects you when you open the mail box ,contact support that pretends to be technical , catch up with the devs and tell them what features can be introduced to screw us up everytime we think the games running smooth for a couple days.Or ask for a simple transfer to another server and add to the wall of dev posts calming upset planet hoppers that have to wait a week to see there character arrive on their local server .

We want to play ,they want us to play ,one of us is not trying hard enough .

One good thing is I used to work on a building site but since january have become a doctor of computer harware and software and am progressing nicely on the coding front , i feel quite seperior when phoning tier one now ,i reckon am a bit to good for them I would like to be escalated with my ticket
Looking for mature gamers ?

Hello Posters,
This is for Winows 7 users.
I have read about this issue for awhile now. I have decided to do some troubleshooting of my own.
Have you attempted the following
  • Make sure your Audio drivers are up to date.
  • Make sure your DirectX is up to date.
  • Make sure your Video Card drivers are up to date. (Some video cards support HDMI Audio)

If you have done all these i would suggest you attempt the following:
On your Desktop taskbar next to your clock you will see your speaker icon.
  • Please Right Click on your Speaker icon > Select Playback Devices > Double Click the Playback Device of your choice.
  • Goto Enhancements Tab > Select Loundess Equalization > Please Click on Settings

Here you will find a slider that has a release time from when Sounds reach a certain DB or touch a certain frequency
Try reducing the Release Time to see if this fixes your issue.

If it does not please try the next step below.
  • Please go back to the playback device > Goto the Advanced Tab
  • Make sure you have selected at least 2 channel, 16 bit, 44100 Hz (CD quality)
  • Make sure you have selected to allow application to have exclusive control over the selected Device.
  • Make sure you have selected to give Exclusive Mode Applications Priority.
If the above suggestion do not resolve your issue you can attempt to disable enhancements to see if this will resolve your issue.
  • Please Right Click your Speaker > Select Playback Devices > Double Click the Playback Device of your choice.
  • Goto Enhancements Tab > Click Disable all Enhancements > Please Click Apply

I hope this helps.

Ok. My computer is up to date. I used to work for HP and SUN Microsystems. I have changed nothing on my computer since before 1.2 except for updating windows AFTER the bug already existed. I'll humor you though even though its not a client side issue. Why you would think a bug that came with 1.2 is my computers problem is just downright silly. Here ya go anyway though. Oh....wait...sorry. You have limited the characters in a post to 50,000 making it impossible to post my dxdiag....This a joke? Also that enhancements fix is a fix for windows sound. Why would you go through the troubleshooting of windows when this bug has nothing to do with OUR computers. That fix doesn't even help people using windows XP. Lets stay focused customer service. ITS NOT A PROBLEM WITH ALL OUR COMPUTERS AFTER YOUR PATCH. Follow?

You can can get around the character limit by placing your DXdiag report within the

Furthermore; You do not have to make changes on your computer for things to start working. As an HP worker you should know this all to well.
Sometimes the settings you currently have on your computer may not work with changes that were done in game. Alot of things (such as managing devices) is not done through patching. Esp. if you made changes beyond factory defaults such as volume settings, enhancement settings, etc. As a programmer i know this all too well myself.

Yes. The hundreds of players on the Fatman right now all changed a configuration the day before 1.2 making it so their sound would break so badly. No. Wait. Bioware changed the coding so the sound would never work again unless you changed your default up to date driver settings......You have no idea what youre talking about sir. I'm sorry.

I am curious to know if you have attempted the suggestions i have given you. They worked for 4-6 of my guildmates. Perhaps they will work for you aswell. With all due respect Sir. I have been developing software, working as a systems analyst, and a network administrator for over 20 + years. I Sir, know exactly what i am talking about.

I would suggest: If you have not tried this yet:

Roll back your video card Driver to the previous Version: As stated above even your video card will sometimes handle audio packets. And you might be losing packets in the process of graphical intensities. Also your video card might just outright block the packets during graphical intense situations, and not unlocking afterwards.

After rolling back. update your driver again. Make sure to do a clean driver install. You should never install over an older driver version.

i hope this helps!

Hello again,

If your DXDiag is too large for a single post feel free to split it into multiple posts where necessary. I would also like to point out that this request for a DXDiag report from those affected is, as stated in my previous post, in order to assist us with the ongoing investigation into this issue and nothing more.

Thank you once again for your understanding and cooperation.
