I must agree with the request to please bring back the vendor.

Even though I was educated, informed and many guildies worked several hours to help prople get DNA for alts etc...

Even though we took the time and etc to get the DNA turned in.... we couldnt because on the PvP server,,,, opposing faction camped it..... for 2 hours b4 patch.....

Please bring back the vendor.

Regards

Indeed; but as you read through this thread, you see it quite clearly. Still more of it on the stickied thread here:

Why is it "whining" or "entitlement" for someone to ask for this? I'm no democrat, so I don't believe anyone is entitled to anything they don't work for. In this case, no matter how easy the "work" was, people worked to get the samples and didn't get a chance to turn them in. I just don't see why it's so hard to understand that they're a little upset.

(For the record, I have no samples as I sold them all for credits.)

Upset doesnt mean you should whine about it to the public, and your example is completely illogical, think before you make a damn analogy.

Here ill give you one, If you missed Mcdonalds mcrib sandwhich because you were on vacation, are you going to come back and announce to the world about your frustrations? and go to your local mcdonalds and plead their manager to talk to their boss to bring back the dam McRib? you are freakin ridiculous

THAT is a ridiculous analogy, but even that makes more sense than yours

While I'm not opposed to the vendor returning, as bioware stated that he may return at a later date, I find it funny that people are stating that every MMO has a standard practice of leaving up a vendor for days or weeks after an event. I have not seen this myself. In fact I have seen not only the vendor disappear, but items purchased from a vendor that didn't specify that they were length of event only... and ************, pleading, whining, asking, groveling, threatening or any other verb you want to insert did not change the situation.

The good part of this is that so many people got into this event that we want more and hopefully that means more unexpected good stuff to come in the future, hopefully soon.. and next time we need to not drag our feet if we want something so we don't miss out.

I'm a casual player like many other people, so I don't see any imbalance or hardship by keeping a simple NPC around for a few more days.
You mean other than the people who will be saving tons of DNA so that they can sell it to people after the event is over when people can't get it any more? That's my problem with this whole thing. Everyone's acting like people only want to go buy stuff for themselves and only have the purest of intentions. While that is probably true for some people, there are plenty others who were just trying to rip people off.

If they bring back the vendor then I would hope they would at least bind the DNA to the players who have it.

I for one was caught unaware by the sudden end of the event. I forget, was there any in-game news that the plague was becomming under control, or anything like that which would warn players to hurry up? Anyway I really wanted to get one of those nice rewards but on the day I hit 60 DNA samples the event had ended. I don't know about all the flaming trolls on this thread grandstanding for their personal agenda, I just would like another chance to make it to the vendor.

I request that the Jawa merchant be brought back to allow players to spend their DNA.
Surprise Starting of Event ....

Yet you are surprised it just suddenly stopped ...

I didn't even have to go to the forums to know the exact time and date of the event ending, all I had to do was read general chat on fleet as people answered the "When does this event end?" question that was asked at least 6 times in every 4 hour period of any day of the week leading up to the final day ...

I would suggest saving them then, I am sure that at some future date, the little jawa will come back

Yes your analogy was way better.

Placing the vendor in a PvP area would not have been so bad provided BioWare gave enough time to the players to turn in the tokens.
