It's something that in an alive universe can happen, strong people taking on the weaks. It would make the world feel alive, along with many other things.
I play thisgameto have fun, chat with people occasionally, etc. I am on a pve server, Hyperspace Cannon. The tagging exploit was used a lot here during the event. Personally, I abhor pvp. Avoid it like a plague. If this kinda stuff ever happened on my server, I would be gone. Most on the pve servers are prolly much like me. I like thye idea of living events, coh had em, and they were awesome. But the idea of high levels murdering lowbies with the thought this is a living game is just bad. Not sure why some people consider this fun, but hey. Just keep it to pvp servers and stop trying to turn my pvp flag on.

I remember some of those events on CoH, they were actually pretty fun wit the random alien attacks and such but a much much different thing (as you already know) then what the OP suggested.

Not that I believe this is definative when it comes to overall player desires, I do believe it is sufficient to suggest the trend in the game is for those who enjoy PVE.
lol my problem... There was a discussion about what the server population is and what they might prefer. I do a server count and also state that it's not definative and somehow the leap in logic based on that post is that I have a problem and am raging? lolwut...

Honestly I don't think you're a bad guy, but I don't agree with a lot of the basic premise you are posting here and in other threads. Just because I disagree, it's not a personal attack on you, take a step back and try and be objective about posts that don't agree with yours ideologically.

Obvioulsy you do not understand the basic concept of planetary warzones. Or you did not read and understand what this is about. (Ok, I canīt expect everyone to read more than 10 lines in twitter and facebook times.)
Also, you are obviously on a PvE Server, so this is the wrong thread for you because it was about PvP servers anyway, you got lost - nothing to see here, ok? Calm your carebear rage down, no oneīs gonna harm your character.

But realistically, they won't do it because people are already complaining about the relatively tame Rakghoul event, some even called it "griefing".

If you want controlled mayhem, it should be reserved to a level 50 planet.
This would be possible if there was an actual real hub where everyone was of mixed levels like Orgrimar and Stormwind in WoW. I don't find the faction city raiding in WoW as greifing. I would only opose this in SWTOR in the short term because there is currently no reason for people to hang out in DK or Corruscant to have the appropriate level of response to a faction raid.

If BW finds a way to:

a) incentivise people to make the capitals as their main hubs instead of fleet so there would be an appropriate number of players in the given cities to respond to the raids.

-and-

b) keeps this to lvl 11+ worlds and not on starter worlds (e.g. Korriban, Hutta, Ord Mantel, and Tython)

I would be up for this. I don't see it as a problem in WoW and I wouldn't view this as griefing.

I am so sick of hearing this "overwhelming majority of players" loved this event propaganda. No one I know was asked, and I certainly was not. The truth is, there were no official, scientifically-sound polls conducted, so any declaration about what "the majority" felt is pure speculation. That being the case, my anecdotal experience that most people either ignored the event or actively tried to avoid it is just as valid. The idea, however, that this event was "loved" by the "overwhelming majority" of players is pure and utter nonsense. The majority, at best, were ambivalent towards it.

Why confuse "the majority" with logic, and facts!

This is not about agreeing or disagreeing, this is about the basic understanding of
a) wasted low level planets with no incentives to go back
b) new opportunities for world events where everyone can join from 10-50
c) a certain "real time feeling" to the game and capturing strategic points in other faction areas

- People who do not read should not reply, I never suggested e.g. Tython (no 2 factions there)
- I did not suggest to spoil the peopleīs fun on PvE Servers
- This is not about "walking in ganking lvl1 players randomly"

If people reply BS on concepts without the ability to read, itīs "Lolwut" on my side (not necessarily referring to you here)

You are invited to cast your vote below and join the 6% who "hated the event"....
And yes, this is already a representative sample pool.

Harsh, but accurate. It never fails to amaze me how people who claim to want "the challenge" of fighting real players always come up with suggestions for making a game "more exciting" by coming up with yet another way for high level players to attack players who have no chance against them. It moves into the absurd when they then resort to ad hominem attacks, insults, and name calling when you point out the obvious motivation to setup ways to avoid actual challenges.
