That guy - so much arguments he provided, didn't he? "Constructive criticism" is so popular these days...

But I wanted talk about your post. Refering to GW as any other MMO on the market is just fail by itself. GW have more hardcore fans than Star Wars, Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica alltogether and just because of them game will be alive untill they won't close servers. And they simply will not until GW3 somewhere far far away in distant future will show up. Remember that GW2 doesn't require subscription as GW1 didn't. You pay for game and play just how long you want. Also as beta tester I can asure you - while GW2 is type that you will love or you will hate (there are no mid stances for this game seriously and it's definitely not for WoW's solowannabe) the fact that's entirely unique experience is entirely true. You may not believe me by word but you will find out in your own time Screw haters (and this one was hater for sure, while I can't say the same about most people here that are refered to as "haters") and let's our entertainment bloom.

Ofcourse there's the 2nd side of the medal - all lazy people afking on fleet all day will "meh" this idea, and for them fast groupping tool is needed indeed.
I understand your perspective and agree with it in principle that doing the treck out to the dungeon can be half the battle. However, based on my experience, sometimes you can spend 3 hours putting a group together finally getting that healer/tank/cc class only to get into the dungeon and find out they royally suck or someone has to go.

In some games I would /who tankclass, /who healclass and send tells to everyone on the list to find the roles we needed. My friends list were long with good people who I knew were competent and I could group with. In those games grouping for me was never impossible or unattainable, but at times there would be whole nights that would go by where we just couldn't get a group together to do X dungeon because all my good tank/healer/CC friends were already tied up raiding or in groups.

I think that is probably why I have gravitated to the tank/healing/CC classes as I wanted to be able to always fill at least one of those roles so that forming a group was easier.

I didn't really play DPS classes until LFD came out, and it was fun. It was fun that putting a group together didn't feel like I was a recruiter trying to fill jobs postings with people who's qualifications were unknown.

In my earlier post I just wanted to say that putting dungeons on diffrent locations would actualy make that "RP" part of community happy and would add some spice itself so with addition of LFG tool this would be WIN-WIN. But as I mentioned there's too early for these tools - just because of how low content besides main story do we have. Simply saying I believe no such tool out there is on purpose (since making looking for groups based on which location you are with no GLOBAL chat is kinda silly idea isn't it?) - we would just push forward too fast and everyone would get bored by finishing all content within 2-3 weeks. Instead we can die of boredoom looking for group but oh well Gotta wait for some large expansion first I'm affraid.

Oh yea my bad man, I should totally go make more friends... oh wait they left the game already.

Well maybe I could ask my guildmates if they want to group up... oh wait there's only 7 of them online on a daily basis, and all of them are decked out in War Hero twiddling their thumbs.

But I'm sure you're right. I just need to keep /shouting in the fleet with a whopping 38 people.

I would like to add that while an LFD/LFG would solve grouping issues, the consequences that come with it surpass the ideal use of it. Who likes easy mode content raise your hand?
You are so disillusioned it's almost unbelievable.

I see what you are saying. Perhaps I'm just lazier now, or it's a sign of the times. I just don't have the same energy I once had to spend countless hours forming up groups. I think LFD in other games has "spoiled" me and I now see it as much of a basic feature to effective grouping as cars/busses are basic feature for me to get to work in the morning

I'll be honest the only real HM/FP's and raids I have done have been with pre-existing friends, so I haven't done a lot of them. I have re-rolled several alts and am enjoying the different class stories just taking my time soaking it all in.

I also think some of it for me is tied in specific to my server population. Before I leave the fleet and when I arrive on each planet I drop it out in general that I am doing the dailies if anyone cares to join me (rarely does someone join). I can solo through all of the dailies in around two and a half hours (If I solo the corellia H4 a little longer) To be honest though there are often only 2-3 other people in the zones when I do them. Although I would agree this isn't necessarily the primary indicator of my ability to form groups, I think it is safe to point to it as a factor in the ease or difficulty to form groups.

The main thing that is killing me right now is every level 50 in my guild unsubbed/left as well as our sister guild we raided with. Most of my guildies are RL friends or people I have know for years and gamed with.

i know this has probably been said but im going to share it anyway......I just close my client to come on here and say im kinda bored.. i love MMORPG's.. because there are people to quest with and have a laugh...but i have just levelled up my Consular the last 10 levels (now level 45) with not one group quest...every one of the last 4 worlds i have been to has had a max population of .....5......really?? i find that quite dissapointing... i did all the quests on hoth and saw not a single soul... max population was 2.. my whole time there... anyway.. i cant play an mmo like this. i never ever thought I would doubt renewing my sub so soon after launch. please bioware, try and turn this into an actual mmo.
