Funny thing about it is, even if you personally don't want to get your information from this site about a world event, it was being talked about in /general on both Fleet and Tatooine last evening and even over the past couple of days. Asking a simple question in-game could have saved you the issue. Also seeing some prices for DNA jump back up a little over the previous couple of days may have been an indication.

While I have no issue if the jawa merchant stuck around for a few days post-event, they did make it sound like he might return at some point. Put the stack in your bank and sit on it. You'll have a leg up on folks in the future should there be another outbreak.

Also, are you not in a guild or just everybody in your guild is like you? I know at least 5x in Fleet last night (Shii-Cho server), 3x in /guild and 2x in Tat general it was being talked about. While the frequency of the conversation may vary I find it hard to believe nobody was mentioning this on your server last night. Heck, people selling them were using that very fact as a way to try and drive prices up last evening.

So when you pay your employees on the first and fifteenth or on Friday and they're not there to pick up a check, are they SOL? Or maybe you give them the check but they can't cash it if they wait until Saturday morning. Silly analogy? Maybe. Point is, leaving the vendor in doesn't hurt anyone and potentially helps many. Why is it "whining" or "entitlement" for someone to ask for this? I'm no democrat, so I don't believe anyone is entitled to anything they don't work for. In this case, no matter how easy the "work" was, people worked to get the samples and didn't get a chance to turn them in. I just don't see why it's so hard to understand that they're a little upset.

(For the record, I have no samples as I sold them all for credits.)

Not signed. (Not that petitions matter)

Every event ends.
There is always an end date.
If you aren't prepared... prepare to fail at getting your rewards or turning them in on time.

This should also serve as a lesson. If there is a pvp element to an event (like intentionally putting the vendor in a contested area) then don't procrastinate turning in currency for rewards or you may very well need tissue at the end of the event.

Then don't post. It's that simple.

It's important to let BW know when these things pop up that only % of the populas is QQing and others are against it.

SWTOR.COM IS STILL ADVERTIZING THIS EVENT AS IF IT WERE ONGOING
Let's just repeat this line.

I will note that the Fleet announcements said "multiple planets". So far, we have seen Tatooine only. The event is still front and center on the SWTOR page. If it had ended completely, it would not be.

Logically, this indicates that the outbreak on ONE planet is over. Jeelvic may not be back, but someone else who will take those samples is a distinct possibility- and on a different world. Remember that the initial stage of this event was totally by surprise. Who's to say that there isn't a stage two?

Just curious where you're seeing the numbers. I'd like to check those out for myself.

spoken like someone who has never worked a day in their life. if you have worked, you would understand how paychecks actually are distributed. so yes, it's a silly analogy that doesn't apply.
