I don't understand why the vendor doesn't link for a week to allow players to spend leftover DNA?

Some people planned to play up until the last minute, then life happened and they couldn't login and are now left with dozens or more DNA to spend. Easy to understand how that happens, and less easy to understand why "too bad" is all they get?

Anyone saying the vendors should not be put back in are just angling to have rarer/can sell for more credits event items. Nothing more.

Put the vendor back.

The event ending only means you can't take part in activities that will gain more event currency.

The turn in should have nothing to do with the event ending. In 9/10 MMOs, this is the case, so if BW was going to tangent from the standard, they needed to say so when the even began.

I think in most cases, I'd bet it's not entitlement. It's more about PR and catering to the entire player base when possible. To argue that the sole reason for taking the vendor away is to reward those folks that were able to play through the entire event and cash in is bad PR and caters to, what I believe, is the minority.

As for this type of request "ruining the game" I think you need to step away from the forums as well. Plainly and simply, adding the vendor would not hurt anyone except those wanting to profit or to be the "cool kid on the block".

BTW, dense has a few meanings. You might want to clarify the context you were aiming for there... or pick a different word.

/signed I can't believe BioWare didn't leave him in for awhile longer at least 1 week.

Especially since the pleague is still being spread around in Warzones.

I would also like to point out that on our pvp server since the vendor was located in a combat area the pubs were not able to use the vendor the last day or so. That means lots of them are stuck too. just because you had no problems doesnt mean nobody else did. I wasnt able to use it for other reasons posted earlier but there are lots of reasons why people werent able to use it.

The above is absolutely correct.
The details of an ingame event should in my opinion be visible ingame.
Perhaps like Wow presented information in the chat window, everytime you logged in, if there was an important thing to consider.
I know many people who didn't know for CERTAIN when this event would end.
I find it funny that people defend the poor way the details of this event has been given to the players.

as for being the cool kid on the block, that is very much a part of every mmo experience..example:in WoW i camped the spawn of the time-lost proto drake for a month, and finally got the mount. i was one of 3 people on the entire server to have this mount, and it gave me a great sense of accomplishment. now if blizz would have given everyone the mount after i had worked for it ,it wouldnt have meant anything.the same principles apply here. its not fair to the rest of us who did as we were supposed to. and by dense i meant stupid, but if i put that in that post,it most certainly would have been flagged.

I work 60 hours a week managing an entire department at a reasonably large company, I missed turning in samples myself, but guess what. I agree with the people who say that these posts shouldnt exist and whining about it is ridiculous. Life isnt fair, and people think they are entitled to what they want, news flash, you dont get everything you want, things dont always go your way, deal with it and move on.

Congrats on the protodrake. I traveled his flightpath for weeks and only ever saw him dead once. (Damn that Tauren)

I get that that's part of playing an MMO. The fact that someone didn't get to the vendor in time doesn't mean he/she didn't put in the effort to get the item they wanted. As a WoW player, you know that Bliz left the special-currency vendors in game pretty much indefinitely. Did that take away from the MMO experience. I don't think so. They've gone downhill in many other aspects but I don't count this as one of the issues with WoW since TBC.

As I and several others have said, sometimes life gets in the way. Asking for the vendor to be put back in isn't the typical QQ request. If the OP was asking for the containment set to be purchasable via credits, that'd be a totally different story and I'd likely post against it.

The disease is still spreading and still awarding 5 samples for "popping" (tested 2 minutes ago), so we may not have seen the last of it, or of vendors taking samples for payment or even selling the black-green crystals...
