The ONLY reason to be against bringing the vendor back for people to spend their earned DNAs is this:

The price of DNA items.

Some people want to get as high a price as possible, and are willing to throw others under the bus who weren't around for 3 days that have DNA to spend. If BW wants to support this, then that is their prerogative. However, I, and the silent masses that agree, will just further get more "meh" about our time spend playing this game. Yay...I spent time earning a currency that is now useless because I don't play every day.

GG on that, BW, if this is the standard. Now I don't know if I want to participate in an event. Maybe it will be a day, and some mod will make a forum post, and I won't know because I'm doing something else for a couple days.

I mean, if an event starts, and I know see that I'll be away for a few days in the very near future, why participate? The vendor will obviously be gone right when the event ends, so why bother? If I'm not playing every day, there' s no use. It's just a gamble.

No thx.

What game doesn't keep an event vendor around for longer than an event lasts? It's the standard. Otherwise, people are stuck with currency that can't be spent for potentially another year or another big patch (in this case possibly).

I was not around for 3 days. I didn't get the memo. I get that the event ended, but what is the point of getting rid of the vendor?

I know there are a lot of people who want the items they bought to be even more rare/unique, but this is just crappy. Like I said, I understand the event has to end, but at least leave the vendor up so people can use the items they earned. the people who worked to get those items are pretty dedicated players, so kicking them in the shins doesn't make sense.
What doesn't make sense is why didn't you go buy the crystal the moment you had the DNA samples to do it?

I don't get why people collect huge amount of DNA samples and then sit on them for several days and then complain the event ended before they could buy anything with them..... Soon as I got enough DNA samples to get what I wanted I bought it right away....

My friends an i have know for weeks that this was the end date, i don't know who found out or when but i thought it was common knowledge.

That being said, removing the merchant is a bit harsh.

i, too, invested sooo much time getting enough samples for 3 crystals, 1 rakghoul pet, and 3 fail companion customizations. it was really tough standing in that mob of sick people for a few days while i pvp'd. yesirreee, some real tough duty.

Actualy in french servers there were no spamming about the event's end, and i DO NOT read the forum AT ALL. Like a large part of players, i also have a social life and a employ...

So, the event was very cool and (my advice) just long enough to be not boring, nevertheless i thought it very frustrating to come up the hill where jeelvic was standing and only find a f****** desert like everywhere around in tatooine... They could let him there for a couple of days to let players spend their DNA

(my english is approximative...realy sorry)

everyone knew it was the end of the event. this is why on the final day, people were camping the vendor to prevent the other faction from using it. had some good fights, and everyone was having a good time.

you people are just hilarious. i bet every single person that signed this "petition" also thinks that they should get a free 30 days despite not having a 50.

A notice of the length or an end date should of been on the main page or in-game. I avoid the forums like, ironically, the plague. Too much drama.

Common sense says Jawa vender should stay some days after the event is gone. This is a game, players have real life and blablabla. Quitting the vendor just when the event is finished is a bad idea, imo.

And next time, put the vendor in a safe spot. Yesterday the vendor in my server was camped by Imps even at 2 a.m. and people was not able to spend the DNA stuff cos some players found funny that kind of behaviour.

I think common sense should have said if the event ends, the Jawa goes away.
I better play it safe and turn in my DNA before the event ends.

It was on the Launcher Window, you know the window that pops up when you click on your SWTOR Icon to play the game.... Might want to read what it says once in awhile... Other then Bioware coming to your house to personally tell you the event is going to end, I'm not sure what else Bioware could of done...

Again I have to ask who says "Ah I just collected 500 DNA samples, since I have a social life im going to wait several days to spend them" ?!?! This is basically what you guys are saying happened.... crazy stuff...

I think the truth lies more towards people thinking "Every MMO event keeps their Vendor out a few days after the event ends, I'm going to keep my DNA and once the event ends and people can't get DNA anymore, I'm going to make a killing selling them my DNA I saved up" I think thats probably what happen with most of the people complaining in here... not all but most...
