No, it's all about wording. Again it comes back to setting customer expectations.

Note the term "consistently," which is the real issue here. I don't think anyone (well, at least not any reasonable person) would be that upset if the patch notes now and then claimed something were implemented which wasn't. Unfortunately, the SWtOR team has released patches which don't live up to the notes quite a large number of times in a short time span.
I don't know if you've payed attention but almost ever bigger SWTOR patch has had stuff that is fixed according to the patch notes, but is actually still broken in game.

How about they provide accurate patch notes? The same thing happened in the last patch with the "Stay Frosty" bug.

This seems to be a consistent "issue", where the patch notes either don't reflect the actual patch, or the fixes implemented in patch do not actually work.

Either way, it's tiring.

So patch notes that say something like, "Issue that prevents companion earpieces from correctly applying their stats has possibly been fixed?"

Look, I am far, far closer to your point of view than most of the people on here, but I've never seen any patch notes anywhere from any company that say anything other than firm, definitive assertions of the changes and fixes that the patch implements. BW is handling patch notes precisely the same way that every other company does. The difference is that their actual coding follow-through is lacking compared to many others.

That's precisely my point. I'm not sure where we are supposed to be disagreeing here. Try reading more carefully.

Just because someone quotes you doesn't mean they disagree with you.

That's sort of the problem because the expectations from the public is that if they say that something is fixed, or it now works properly, people expect it to actually be fixed or work properly. And I'm honestly not trying to be snarky, just stating the expectations.

And I don't know the "fix" for this because this is already a lingering issue with BioWare that I've personally seen way back into testing where the patch notes do not reflect the actual patch, or the patch just doesn't do what they think it does.

And I don't know why that's such an issue here as opposed to other MMOG's I've been associated with. I don't know why they would need to be the only developer to say in their patch notes "Hey, we 'think' we fixed [insert issue], let us know if it works or not". Mainly because that's what other games use the PTS for.

I'm a bit puzzled on their consistent issue to get things done that they say are done in their notes. There seems to be a disconnect there, and, again, it's either the notes are incorrect or the patch just doesnt do what it should. Either way, I don't like it.

I'm pretty sure the rules of the internet state that if someone is quoting you they are disagreeing with you and probably insulting you and your mother as well :P
