This game is so awesome, why all the complaining?

I love the game but since 1.2 performance has been so bad, I spend more time complaining about it than enjoying it.
I'm sorry, master, there were COMPLICATIONS. Please don't deactivate me!

The game isn't perfect, but who cares.
This is the point that's most problem with SWTOR forums. All defenders (all with no exception) can't look a bit further that their own selfish existence. You want to have fun - you have it already, go and don't waste time on doing something that YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT. You just admited it - you don't care what happens. You have your 5 minutes and after that you will get over to do something else. You can enjoy your stay, do what you like and move forward but for god's sake let others have fun LONGER than your 5 minutes and don't deny undeniable. We (most of us atleast) don't say "dis is siet gam pis o trash" - we point out problems, what should be improved, changed, introduced - all you can say that it isperfectly fine and then disappear while after. Because in comparisment to you most of us paid 6 month sub since early access - because we want to enjoy this game longer than you.

Comprende?

You are ignoring a middle group, Marrond. There are those of us for whom the game is fun, who put forth suggestions, point out bugs, discuss issues but do not feel the need to be so vehement as to actually go counter to what you are suggesting (support the game and work toward the game's longevity) by alienating those who are not as passionate as others. It's not all black and white. It's not all haters and Biodrones. In fact, the larger percentage most likely is the middle, not the extremes.

I can find many things that I think need improvement or should be different but instead of focusing on that, I choose to focus on whether I am having fun or not. That is my bottom line. Whilst I continue to have fun, I will continue to support (via suggestions, input, bug reports etc.).

I really enjoy SWTOR, I would very much like to continue to do so for some time to come and, based on what I am seeing now, I will be doing that. The ONLY thing that could chase me away at this point is if BW goes nuts and starts focusing totally on PvP and/or raiding. And even then I'll play 'til I've achieved my goal of finishing up the class stories on all my characters.

Still having an absolute blast in the game. Running Hard Modes and fleshing out my characters with dailies and datacron hunting and Codex-completing.

People have the craziest expectations for MMOs these days. The genre is what it is. I am not looking for BioWare to reinvent the wheel. While TOR doesn't have a ton of innovative ideas, it certainly has its share.

Have had zero performance issues, but I also know how to keep a clean machine and perform upkeep on a regular basis. Working in IT, the reality is that most people have zero clue how to properly maintain their systems. This is exactly why you see all those ridiculous "Is your PC running slow?!" ads shilling products that people could download for free in less than 3 minutes. (Not that all performance issues are the player's fault of course. I just haven't experienced them, so BioWare has at least satisfied my system's requirements.)

It has been said many many times, but bears repeating... The disgruntled are always louder than the satisfied in all aspects of life. Forum-goers are the vast vast minority when it comes to the game's overall population. I think Blizzard once put the percentage of their players who had actually posted on their official forums at around 3%.

Just relax and continue to play if you are having fun. Post constructively or quit if you aren't. The angst over a video game and the pittance it costs per month is silly. Most of it is simple grandstanding and attention seeking, typical of a society that encourages such things nowadays.

You realize that admitting my trollish nature would be actualy easier than talk to my mind? Ofcourse I am ignoring. This is what hyperbolisation is created for, or I am wrong?

Also some just have to acknowledge that this is not adoration circle where you can only melt over the game. Especialy after words of constructive criticism (no, not mine I tend to rage and say FU instead) few pages back were just widely commented with some of the biggest BS I've ever yet saw on forums. Sometimes people here greatly exceed what Appleboys achieved on their "nest".

Also about alienating - I'm not doing nothing to them - they do this to themselves. Just look for "why people don't group" thread (or something simmilar) from past day or two. Solo guys do this alone to themselves and they enjoy it - I don't see a problem in this place.

So why use it? Why not give the game that you obviously love the courtesy of not trolling? Why bother with being hyperbolic? Stick to your guns by all means but stick to 'em legitimately.

Uh oh...I don't get the "Appleboys" bit, I'm sorry.

Marrond...think of it this way. If someone wants something of you, which works better on you? Someone screaming in your face, demanding that you do what they want right damned now or someone who says:"Hey, I need something could you please help" or "Hey, idiot, do this right now and hurry up about it!" or "You're a dumb-*** for not seeing things exactly as I do?" as contrasted with "Yes, I can see where that is important to you, but it is not as important to me so, we have different viewpoints."

The vocal minority of the forums on every single MMO out there are the type of players who feel they are owed everything under the sun, they don't understand that games as large and complex as these can't be fixed just by changing one line of code as each line affects another.

It is typical of the type of player who frequents the forums, I personally have not seen any game breaking bugs since release, yes I had a couple of FPS issues which I then resolved by turning down my resolution temporarily, but all the complaining you have about bugs are isolated issues that not everyone has.
