I'm sure your emo half witted Sith buddies must be very proud that your full operations group could safely take on one Republic player after one republic player. Chicken yella belly campers that only fight when they know they'll win.....

Republician Assault.... you been drinkin Blue Milk again. We can't even get enough players for a full WZ team... I detect lies
Waiting for the definitive Star Wars sandbox mmo...

I don't think it is reasonable to blame a player on a PVE server for expecting they would have to flag themselves for PVP. That's sort of the whole point of a PVE server.
What makes it a glitch ? They took the server down several times during the event if it was a glitch it most likely would have been fixed. This was a pvp themed/based event heck if you tried to take out the boss it was in a FFA pvp area. I find it hard that anyone (except a player that joined yesterday) would have a spendable amount of dna and not know that being infected flags them. Plague flags you and vaccine prevents it, it wasn't hard to figure out.

For future situations like this, you realize that you can die near the vendor, take the medical probe option and the extended stealth time (due to pvp) that comes with it, and buy stuff to your hearts content for 15ish seconds?

Personally, I enjoyed the event immensely since the objectives and areas overlapped for both factions (unlike the awful dailies, where you are isolated from the other faction while you do your boring pve grind); both factions on our server got organized, and large fights ensued around the wreck, on the vendor and in the canyons. This was a great way of (unintentionally?) stimulating world pvp.

If they were killed it's their fault for being careless.
I have to disagree, flagging someone on a PVE server through a glitch in the game mechanics whereas someone has no choice is wrong. Someone entering a PvP zone if that is where the merchant was located is something entirely different, but "exploiting" faulty game mechanics is just that... exploiting.

There really should be an option on PvE servers to permanently turn off your PvP flag so you can't be accidentally flagged in this manner.

It was the best ending ever. Why the republics had started to camp the vendor was beyond my understanding, since there was no valor in it. At least none that I noticed when we started to roll them. The only reasonable conclusion I came up with is they felt like being jerks. Sorry, pubs, but you guys started it. Some of ours did feel like letting you by to make a last minute purchase, but they just couldn't convince the others. Me being one of them.

i never understood griefers. I stood by emps for a week doing the rak event, they -gasp- didnt block the vendors or grief people.
shoot even yucked it up. it just shows just because you play a diphead doesn't mean you act like one.

Same at Master Darnala. The pubs kept owning us, we did for a time after and then they came back in force and it looked like the legacy vendor was going to be inaccessible for us Imperials through the last twenty five minutes or so. We had to get reinforcements from the fleet and take back the vendor for the last five minutes, helping out all those of us who had purchased those dna samples in the last minute for ridiculous prices, to make our purchases!.

Someone recorded it and said they'll post it on the forums later. EPIC. Everything was normal and civilised until the last hour and half leading up to the event conclusion.

Sadly, this was not to last when the Republic players on the server broke the truce and started camping the event NPCs hours before the conclusion of the event.

Fortunately; the Empire banded together and vanquished those stinking Republic players.

We continued to slaughter ANY and ALL Republic on sight until the server went down for maintenance.

Seems the Republic was crying about us crapping on them over and over and over again.

Best ending to the event ever...A full operation just slaughtering Republican player after Republican player. Each Republican assault was pushed back and annihilated.
I was there at the end too. At first I felt bad for them until someone, correctly, reminded me that they started that crap. A whole week of relatively peaceful co-existence and they blew it on the last day. Besides, it seems to have happened on many servers and they'll likely be accomodated.

The reason we did not counter camp the vendor is because its boring and a waste of time. I really never understood the people who get thrills out of griefing. It is not fun for either side. Its like playing a console game with god mode on. Or playing chess by yourself. You always know who the winner is and what the outcome will be. How is that fun? I'd rather watch grass grow. Atleast I don't know what direction the blades will sprout.

Is it fun to watch your favorite sport team when one of the teams is getting slaughtered? no not really. Its a much funner watch if the game is tight and close. Even if your team looses they played a great game.

The people camping the vendor are the same type of people that run bots on call of duty and battlefield that think they are awesome when they are on top of the leader board while using mods. The people that like to do this are unfortunately children. These people also are highly likely to have sith characters because they are "cooler"

And for those wondering...
We have a 3/1 imp/pub ratio. But the imps on our server suck so it takes like 8 of us to kill 12 of them. So it balances in that way alone. We win 2/3rds of our pvp war zones.
I don't consider the repubs trying to camp the vendor griefing, I consider it a strategic mishap that sets a precedence in the future for all out war. Still I understand why they did it, to prevent use from easily getting decent crystals for gear. We counter camped and I enjoyed the whole thing, does that mean I run bots or even own cod. No... no it doesn't.

I simply prefer open/world pvp to trinket(do this and get shinies) pvp.

Exploiting a bug to force someone to PvP on a PvE server is against the rules.
Did they come out and say it was a bug ? If so your right...if not your wrong and don't have a leg to stand on. Stop trying to make this an issue. It wasn't if they were killed it's their fault. Vaccine was everywhere. I find it very hard to believe "lots" of people didn't know. Especially if it happens to one they'd be vocal about it on chat. Then we have dailies, your telling me in all that time with dailies positioned so imps and pubs would bump heads they never say an infected player of the opposite faction flagged.

I think you guys got ran over and are sore about it.
