But when the majority of players play DPS and then they have a DPS meter, a lot tend to play like they need to get the highest score on the board. It's not space invader's people.
Again, if they do not wish to have DPS meters they can just disallow them. It is not a valid reason to oppose all addons, just because some other game has one that people here are terrified of.

Perfect example of opposing something you don't even understand.

Intending more UI customizations does not mean addons if that is what you are saying.

Im in this community, dont speak for me. I dont want everything world of warcraft. I've never played that game but judging by the fact loadsof the ex-wowers want everything handed on a golden plate to them with easy mode mods I say : no thank you.

How can you say you don't want something you have never even seen? What a silly statement.

I don't ever remember getting things handed to me in WoW, I just remember it being a lot more accessible then this game.

You do realize the game has 100% complete control over what addons to allow and which to stop?

Its pretty clear the Devs at this point don't want to allow DPS addons where we can see everyone's performance. Guess what, if they allowed addons they could still disallow DPS addons.

There are so many other uses for them that have zero impact on the game play of others.

GTN, Crafting, Threat Meters, UI Interface, and so on.

Don't come on here and oppose something you don't even understand.
well we do not need a UI interface addon since we have a fully customzable UI. which they already stated they are alwasy looking for feedback on to see if it needs any changes or additions. A threat meter can be added with out allowing addons. As can many other items.

I hope they dont ever come, i hope that bioware do everything inhouse via game features like they are doing with the UI. No way i want to trawl the internet sites for addons, making sure i have the most upto date, downloading from curse and having todo it all again come patch day and not having a clue what 50% of the stuff in the addon folders actually does.

Why devote time and effort to something the community would do better, faster, and for free?

If people are afraid of DPS addons thats fine, they can block them. Still no reason to not have any addons at all.
