The good news is that purple text on black background is less damaging to your credibility than making stuff up about dead servers.

I'm looking forward to your conclusive research on this subject. Feel free to link it any time.

Your doomsaying posts are almost word-for-word EXACTLY what I saw a year ago on the RIFT forums. Servers were dead after the launch rush due to the decrease of concurrent playtimes, people were crying that the sky was falling, the game was dying, Trion sucks and people are leaving. On June 22nd, Trion opened up the free server transfer option.

Again, people just like you were stipulating that it's only a "temporary" solution. Yet, here we are almost a year later, and subs are just fine, people are finding groups, and the sky stood fixedly in the air.
Rift is the one who worked out by rapidly adding content. Allowing to transfer was just fixing the group of player that still were in game. It wasn't something that aquired a new players. It's as I described it - temporary fix, not a final solution that just save game from all further problems. Also, remember Trion managed to fix their problems and EA failed many times before (yet only 1 time in terms of MMO, check WHO) - this is why those speculations, as you're reffering to them, actually make any sense. Furthermore if you're trying to compare lots of content that is packed into Rift (in the beggining) to what's in SWTOR then I have no words. I mean, seriously. Trion is working really hard to keep their playerbase since day 1.

Also I wouldn't name my words doomsaying - I'm just not hurraoptimist. I just see what and how many flaws game actualy have to it's competitors. It's like an Apple devices - I own some of them, I like them, I wouldn't change them for any other devices because they actually fill my needs, but I know how many commonly basic features they're lacking. And these lacking features are selling point to some people. In MMO - I like game, I play game, and I see it actualy have problems so I write what I see. Seen many scenarios like this already. In MMO market so called endgame is the selling point. Casual players who slowly play from 1 to 50 are nice customers providing extra money but usually after that journey ends (and here it ends pretty fast I must admit) they lose intrest in game and move on. Those nolifers who raid all day and all night, who need some rabbit to pursue will actually carry the game into the future. If someone will give them that rabbit to chase. Rakghoul event was pretty nice beggining but there's awfully alot more stuff like this needed to get things going smoothly.

I think the server status shows ONLINE player numbers, so it is not a reliable tool on server population.

I am not very sure on this....

The server I played on always had a "Heavy" status on it, even when we had under 100 Republic and under 200 Empire on.

You're denying his experiences from the game. He says he play standard server, he says that finding group is near to impossible but you know better how his gaming experience is. Briliant indeed. I think you should re-roll on his server and prove him wrong

You can even make some video of how wrong some of us are. Seriously, just wait me getting some popcorn, be right back!
