I shouldn't be forced to play the game for an entire week straight in order to finish off my armor set. I'll be missing a belt and I'm going to be literally a day late and a dollar short. I think it was pretty bad design to have these dailies unlocked by when you completed them instead of unlocking each for all players each day.

Give people who don't have a whole week straight time to obtain what they want (crystals, pets, social armor, title, whatever makes them happy).
If the plague exploding thingy is such a big problem, remove just the plague. Say "hey we contained it now we just have to get rid of those rakghouls and infected banthas etc!"
Leave everything else in the game for another week. So people can still obtain DNA samples via daily quests and no one is bothered by the plague (which is the main reason people want this event to end, right?).

The whole point of world events are that they are temporary and limited. Extending it would dilute the novelty of world events.

Take this as a lesson, next time if another temporary event happens, stop what you're doing and do that event only.

You do realise that some people, so I've heard, have jobs and family to take care of. There are some things in life that you just can't stop when you want...

Absolutely loved this event. Quests fairly quick to do, rewards sufficiently desirable and storyline/newsflashes etc. entertaining and engaging.

All the good things, but.... too short.

Personally I would like 10-14 days for special kinda events/holidays and such. A week you risk too many players get in on the action late and only have limited time to achieve the objectives.

Mainly since the progression of the quests in the event was such that a new one was added daily the first few days, and you had to complete the previous ones for the new one to become available, but only the day after completing the previous days end quest. Especially concerned you chose to put the double item reward quest as the last in the quest line. Meaning you'd need it opened yesterday to ensure you would obtain belt and chest pieces.

Overall though I really enjoyed this event and can't wait for more surprises like it in future.

You can't even spare 40 mins a day to do the missions on Tatooine?

Whilst i can see where your coming from, the fact is that the world event and dailys were advertised in a way that people have never seen before in other mmos, normaly on a world event its spalshed everywhere. there are npcs in nearly all zones talking about it giving quests for it etc.

SWTOR did it a different way, they did a small thing on the fleet that said dont goto tat and had people exploding on the fleet and no mission to send you to it, so what about the peeps who were busy leveling and havnt been to the fleet in the last week, those that dont have guilds and those that dont use the website.

What about those that couldnt do the dailys in the chain completly due to how it was designed, people have kids, school, jobs etc that make it so that some people only play on weekends. So with that in mind it should be extended, the dailys unlocked so people can get the whole set of armour if they have been unable todo it all every day.

Well some people can't. Like it or not. I'm just saying that the duration of the event is not casual friendly. Miss a few days and you can't obtain the social armor because of the daily quest design. Doesn't seem fair to me.

Exactly. I will be 2 short for my set of gear.

With my limited game time i had no reason to go onto the website or forums, just get home do my RL stuff and log in leave cantina and continue quests. Then someone explodes on me and i get sick, i think *** what is this i am sick, THEN i research at what was going on and read about an event on tatooine where i could get a set of gear and a new rackling pet and more with dailies. Seriously all you people who live and breathe swtor from the time u get home from what it is you do need to stop flaming people who never ever even heard of this "event" until they stumbled on it or was exploded on.

Maybe not too short but Definitely not well publicized unless u troll the fleet.
It would have been nice to have a set of limited edition gear but since i dont spend every waking moment playing cause i have a LIFE i miss out. and i assume the gear is BOUND so no buying it from another player or GTN

People are away, or have 2 or 3 (or more characters they want to do things on).

It's not coincidence that 2 weeks is the MMORPG standard for these things, it's come about over 15 years of "playtesting".
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?
