Thanks for posting this, BlackMink!
Honestly I read this week QA and yawned.

That depends on your idea of "easy". Yes her gear comes with mod slots, but to get same level gear as say... Kaliyo at end game when I can easily fully equip her with Tionese/Columi/Rakata excess pieces from raids I must spend 60-100K credits to rip the mods out of EACH piece of gear for her! Why spend all those credits on her if her tanking ability is not superior and to gear Kaliyo it costs me nothing?!?

I very much wanted to use SCORPIO over Kaliyo... but not if its gonna cost me a million credits to get the same level gear...

Wow, what a whiner fest.

Some people actually care about appearance of their character and gear options.

The weapons supposedly changed, so you should get an orange staff for Scorpio now. Should actually check with my BH if they changed automatically or if I have to do them again.

The rest in regards to the "armour" - absolute valid point for the droids, I never went that far to gear my companions. Heck I'm not even that geared with my characters yet

The dislike of this (and quite a few other) Q&As have very little to do with the questions answered..
At this point no one expects a new Q&A to be released if players don't like it.....

The dislike comes from the same place the constant disappointment comes from.
You hate when we quote you developers and consider it definitive.
However, you are constantly giving us definitive replies and then changing them.

Originally the Q&A was considered by many players as a very in-depth Question and Answering session with the developers where ANYTHING goes..
This was stated many times by the developers..

Afterwards, you 'encourage' us to ask certain questions (in other words, only those types of questions will actually get 'answered'..).
You re-answer the same question in different ways, making Q&As a cliffhanger when most of the playerbase wasn't even aware that it was a 'To Be Continued' ...

Every week the Q&A transitions even more from it's original and unique idea to a 'PvP is an acronym for Player Versus Player. I'm glad we could answer your question'

Every week more and more players forget when a Q&A is even supposed to be released due to lax scheduling and questions that draw next to no attention..

There was once a great idea called Community Q&A.
There was more incentive to play SWTOR, now there's time-sinks.

Work to restore and keep your community's faith in you, don't assume it will always be there.
Thank you for granting me the attention of your eyes.

Irouven: What is the idea behind the selection at the equipment vendor for planetary commendations? Sometimes you get boots, sometimes chest-armor, never a potential "full" outfit.

Damion: We don't want you to get all of the pieces of an armor set from any one source of gear. We want you to do multiple activities in the game to build out a full set of gear. This is a conscious decision on our part to encourage and reward playing multiple facets of the game. So you should do other things -- heroics, check the GTN, etc -- the full set of gear is out there.
I can see why you don't put full outfits for those reasons, but I've always wanted full outfits for specific planets (i.e. Tattoine gets a desert-specified outfit, or Hoth can get an outfit specified for colder climates). BioWare makes many references to the Star Wars movies when they implement ideas into SWTOR (most notably the Skywalker family as a comparison to the Legacy system). Well, many characters had different outfits specified for specific climates. Sometimes I like to RP, so if I was playing as my Trooper, it would be cool to have an outfit specified for the planet that I am on.

Sure, thats a problem. Is it a large problem? Absolutely not. Heres a few quick problems that need to be fixed immediately:

-GTN not showing items correctly ("Any" field displays nothing, for instance)
-Logout button not working
-Servers with such low populations that its either impossible, or close to impossible to play end game content.

A lot of us really care about this issue. To us, the lack of this option means that we've had to endure our characters looking hideous for the entire duration of the game, hoping that the feature which actually should have been really easy to solve (as made obvious by the goggle hood toggle workaround) would be added soon, only to be continually disappointed. As evinced by the massive variety of cosmetic options and rewards in MMO's, appearance is a huge aspect of this genre. The lack of this option basically makes it impossible for our characters to look good to our eyes, diminishing or ruining all aspects of the game where you can see your character (basically everything except space or the GTN perhaps).

I know because i was one of the people who made a post about the issue with alot of people talking about it.
And it's still not in the game. Pretty clear at this point they just dont know how to do it.
Actually, they went backwards on this issue. We sort of used to ALREADY HAVE the ability to toggle hoods on/off before 1.2. If we put on certain goggles or head wrap helms, it would remove the hood, show our hair, and as long as we were fine with the goggles/face wrap, it was as good as a hood toggle.

Unfortunately, with 1.2, these goggles, while they still remove the hood, also remove our hair, which kind of defeats the point of toggling hood off for many of us since what bothers us about the hooded appearance is that it makes our characters look bald. It also breaks immersion since our characters are not supposed to be bald, then suddenly go from having hair to bald and back again by putting goggles on and taking them off.

So, long story short, the hood toggle WAS IN THE GAME (sorta) at launch. The devs REMOVED THE HOOD TOGGLE (sorta) in 1.2. Way to go Bioware! So there are now TWO hood related issues instead of one:

1. Please add a hood toggle
2. Please fix the old hood toggle goggle workaround method which used to work fine but doesn't anymore

I'll be happy if they do one or the other in time for whenever it is they add the ability to put augments on any orange gear (which they stated they're doing; the current crit craft method, in their own words, is a temporary measure until the augment addition item can be implemented). My fear, though, is that they won't.

The update with the possibility to augment existing gear needs to come soon. I have 400 synthweaving and the only oranges you can make with synthweaving are ugly or not too bad. I have crafted some items with augments but can't get my characters to wear them because I don't want to run around looking like a frigging clown.

I have taken all the mods our of the god awful looking columi gear and stuck em in decent oranges without augment slots.

So I run around without augments and without set bonuses because Bioware doesn't seem to give a rat's *** about what characters look like. I am not usually so fired up but this is really getting annoying to me. The art team that does the armour need drawing lessons. Most armour looks crap and that includes the new 1.2 armour.

To be fair, the female sorcerer columi armour looks ok, but the chest piece can be better as well as the hat, but hey, I can't transfer the set bonuses to oranges cause it's not black hole campaign gear and I don't use orange critted gear because there's basically only more ugly to be had there.

All the decent looking armour can basically not be used for endgame. What gives?

So yes please, give us the chance to augment the armour we like and give a bit more leeway on the set bonuses. I did the work to get columi stuff, now let me decide what I want to look like as well.

Thank you.
