A lot of people asking questions seem to fail to understand the purpose of these Q&As. They are for getting official developer answers about current game mechanics, not for asking about theoretical features and stuff that we MIGHT get months from now.

My own question asked for clarification on Threat mechanics. I know it's a generic question, but I am a raid tank. I need and want to have a good official understanding of how threat works. I don't want to ask random player #9,873 how it works for this particular game. A google search or a player answer will consist of how random people assume it works, or how it worked in some other game not made by Bioware.

The answer they gave me wasn't quite as detailed as I had hoped for, but it did add clarification on a few things. Between the answer given, as well as the raid combat logs I have been generating on both my Tank and my Sniper, I am beginning to understand where tank threat problems are coming from.

I have just obtained some very valuable information today that's going to come in handy going forward.
Along with the Feb 17th Q&A that described threat mechanics, I'd say you've got a fairly detailed response.

Second page after several hours, you really picked the stuff your players care about right now...

That's great to hear! While we can't answer every single question that comes our way (may I remind you of the posted guidelines for asking questions), we try our best to provide answers whenever we can. Also, as it says at the top of the blog post, these questions are from before April 3rd, since our Q&A was delayed last week. We expect more recent questions in next week's Q&A.

Thanks for posting this, BlackMink!

it's funny how all these questions are similar to playing tee ball.

why not actually take questions from people with an understanding of the game instead of a bunch of nubs.

how does agro work? are you kidding me, every week it's just lame questions by these people.

DarthBloodloss: Why doesn't ranked War Hero armor (or the new tier of PvE armor) have augment slots?
Really? Check those pvp vendors.. Schematics are not there to just take place on the vendor!
Even worse that someone decided to answer that dumb question -_-

Grandmthethird: It seems to me like some companions have a hard time when it comes to gear. I’m sure there is more but I’m thinking specifically of Torian and Skadge. It seems impossible to get aim melee weapons. Is this an oversight? Or am I simply missing something?

David White (Systems Designer): Aim melee weapons are used by a very small subset of companions. For this reason we tend to distribute those items through either vendors or class specific quest rewards. Our goal is to make these items reasonably available without constantly putting essentially “worthless” items in front of players who do not care about them. We also make the items customizable (orange) when possible to make it easier to keep them up-to-date by swapping out the Mods and Enhancements. Ultimately it’s a delicate balance to make sure they can be reasonably found and maintained by the players who care about them without them becoming a nuisance to players who might not even understand why they exist.
This doesn't explain why some companions, SCORPIO for the IA for example, get a blue weapon without mod slots as their reward for one of the group dailies on Belsavis... when every other companion gets a moddable weapon with blue mods. Makes it appear as if that companion isn't considered important or usable at end game. Not to mention Scorpio already can only use droid gear which VERY rarely drops end game.

Bioware is truly trolling us. There are so incredible many Discussions running in the Forums and NON of the really important question were answerd. Not in the original threads, neither here.

I started laughing when i read the question about augment slots. Yeah, THATS what we all have questions about and were totally confused.

Honestly Bioware, please, stay serious with our complaints.
