It has been quite the contrary though. The problem that everyone doesn't see is the population caps for the servers were increased for launch and than never reduced back to normal (at least to my knowledge). So while it seems some servers lack in population this is false. The speculation of these articles based on 1 analyst (also based on my knowledge of the situation). From what I have seen they reference 1 analyst who out of all these articles and he is referenced each time. I guess my point is the dieing server conclusion is false and while there are servers that are lacking it does not mean they are dead. The problem is there is no group finding system in place and everything for pve seems to have to be organized by guilds and or rl friends, acquaintances, etc and this leaves some of the server population out of the loop especially on lacking servers. This is why people have been rerolling to other servers (in my opinion). I have been here since alpha and I don't intend on leaving. This game is the future of gaming and mmos and while it is still in infant stage it still has time to grow and compete with wow and the other popular mmos out there. My two cents. My opinion is the anti swtor campaign launched by wow is pathetic if it is indeed true. So am I right or am I wrong?
first the pops did not increase that much, and most thoe people will be gone soon when other games come out and they finished the lacking content delivered in 1.2 which isnt even fun. it is getting bad press because it is a bad game

Wait to you see the review on the coming magazines it gets a 3.

So the answer to your question is "because in the age of the internet, anybody can create a gaming news site".
gaming shows on tv going to be giving it some bad press soon too when the review comes in. Also ign will most likely be changing it stand on their rating since didnt truly test it.

Now just to turn it around, are you open to the possibility that the game is doing way better than some people on these forums are suggesting? Are you open to the possibility that people are not leaving TOR in droves?
Pretty much my sentiments on the matter.

Technically because subs remain even if person cancels they can consider the person still playing so what you need to realise is say 500 thousand canceled they can still claim them as playing due to the sub is still open and some those players could had subs over 3-6months and jsut dont want play, gaming companys get free money cause dont offer refunds for subs honestly it unfair to consumers and it needs changed.

I would not take anything that is said in any online article. I have seen that the sources are unreliable and in some cases totally fabricated. I saw one a while back that based it on X-Fire subs ... Now I play SWTOR and I do not use X-Fire .. So because I do not have both, I do not count for the numbers the writer used.
What it really boils down to is one thing ... Do you like the game? Do your guildies like it? And are you willing to be an active subscriber? The only person who can answer it is you.

The people who post and say they un subbed, or that the game is broken ... Fine .. then move on and leave those who like it in peace.

Delusion is the believe in something long enough that it becomes a truth to the person. Many SWTOR fans are in that state of mind. You need to realise that when the actually canceled subs cancel that when it will count, because with the allowing players to play the remaining time technically they can claim it is players still playing and count it as subs current, you will see a drop to under 1million subs by end of MAY

Would you be so kind as to give sources for the claims you've made so far? The coming magazine reviews, the 500k who've cancelled etc. I have heard similar claims since January, none could provide sources for their claims and none have come true so far.

All I'm really going to say on the matter is; We'll see.
