I didn't say that the game was in decline, or that it will be declining, or anything of the sort. I just asked if it was something anyone would even consider a possibility.

Personally, I think its somewhere around 1.5 million, but what does it matter? My question was, even if it was doing badly, would anyone admit it?

Declining subs is a hate campaign? Subs will decline. Subs will also grow.... then decline, then grow, then decline. That is how MMOs go. When stuff is new, subs are up. In between new content, subs decline.

It does not take an analyst to see that.

IF it were doing badly, then sure. But since it's not, then there's no need to admit anything yet.

The fanboi rubbish of tooting the company line about consistant numbers since launch have been strong here today.

I agree btw, if EA would ignore the haters and fanbois and listen to the experienced, they could fix up the missing areas of this game.

I think its to late to ever get the 5-6-7 million this title should of had as a sub base but holding steady around a mill (give or take 200k) subs for a long term is doable. They can stopp the bleeding if they add the content that was suppose to be in at launch.

Sadly, so far I have seen no indication they will do that.
EA seems to have fallen into the MMO killer trap where it likes to hear the fanboi praise to much and thus never stops the bleeding of subs from the other 90% of normal subscribers that just want a good game made.

Eventually they will wise up and go panic mode and then the remaining cust base (the last 10% ) will complain loud and hard about TORs own NGE (we seen the exact same thing happen before).

Personally I go 3+1 months left and Id love for then to add Paazaak, Swoop racing, cantina activities to promote socialization of players.

But they wont (least I dont think they will) and in 4 months time my account will be added to the massive mounds of not returning subscriptions that many here seem to refuse to admit exist

1.2 Barely brought many people back to the game. Fact is Bioware is in desperation mode, free weekend passes? free 30 days. They are going to get a huge beating by Diablo 3 and GW2. This is their fault and no one else.

EA won't lie, but notice the free month of subs, the handful of free days etc? That will all likely pad the 'active subscriber' numbers. The Rakghoul event, that encourages 100+ people to stand for hours on end in one giant blob in the fleet will significantly increase the 'hours played per player'. All of this is EA working two problems at once, the first, is that the game isn't doing as well as they'd like, and they want to give people more things to do so the game does well and they actually play it. The other is they don't really want to tell anyone if the game is doing badly especially if they can get more people paying and playing relatively soon. The perception that the game is dying (even if that's false) could kill the game.

5 months in and desperation mode with giving a free day and month? lol im sorry are you confused? you seem confused...

My standard server went up 30-40ppl during peak since 1.2 and has stayed that way, on my of my servers so i guess your still confused and will cont to be that way...

Games that are doing great dont give away free weekends likes its candy let alone a free month.
