I would like to see this change reverted back, was doing my class mission and im not a healer toon adn my healer companion was not allowed to be the active char was two meele class chars , and not having the abilty to med pack when near dead was nightmare, as died numerous times and well it is frustrating and not fun on fights i could handle np before when didnt have healer companions now i get mashed most times

Im not liking the new change to medpacks as can not always get folks to heal you if not have your healer companion.

I am beging to lose my faith in this product and i guess with GW2 and D3 looming my times in SW might be coming to an end, shame as i spent many years in other mmos but i guess i maybe not got the interest as much in SW now with all the recent changes like the medipack nerf

Just a random idea why.
This is the reason, pve nerfage annoying I liked using medpacs in flashpoints saves energy for healing much better with tough fights, oh well. I suppose some nerf was needed otherwise they'd have to design new encounters assuming everyone has medpacs to use every 90s or if they don't risk content being too easy, and I'm betting we're going to see harder and harder content to stop it being burned through.

Yeah I like how they show us all the frill stuff they are doing and talk about all the neat and new stuff, they never tend to mention all the nerfs and changes for the worse that come along with them. I enjoy playing alone sometimes and with the medpac change it's just going to be something I don't want to do without a healer and since we don't all get healers at level one. It seems Bioware, being as unprepared for the MMO world, takes one huge step forward, and 3 steps back... I understand they are trying but quit breaking the things that are ok...or nerfing then.

The long and short of it is everyone has a different play style (some folks are better at it than others) and some fights are a lot harder than others. Most of the time the companions A.I. is so bad that one needs to pop a few more medpacs just to survive. There shouldn't be a limit other than the cool down. Once that's up, we should be able to pop another one if needed.

Now if you're a guru and good at surviving most all tough fights, GREAT FOR YOU! BUT if you're not a seasoned player, this ultimately turns into a very frustrating task.

BIOWARE, please change this back to the way it was!

I prefer med packs the way they were. The fact that I can only use one per fight is not realistic in any sense. How do I solo hard content with a dps class and no healer? They were already on a long cooldown and I never heard anyone ask for this change.

Also perhaps the people screaming "its too hard" and the people screaming "its too easy" are two different sets of people.

I think Bioware does a good job (mostly) and we all just need to ask for things in a firm but less whiny and demanding manner.

Please allow us to use medpacks as needed. Increase the cooldown if you must but sometimes you need that second one. Players who suck at combat are paying customers too.

I don't think the "nerf" is a serious issue, but I agree with you here. When I'm healing for a group, I use medpacs to heal myself so that I can concentrate my healing efforts on other party members. When the healer is forced to use their skills on themselves, the group quickly breaks down, and a roughly 50% chance a wipe is imminent.

Being able to use another one after 90s was part of my plan.

That said, it's not really that big a difference, now instead of popping one early, you wait 'til you're legitimately low, because it's the only one you're getting. The odds that it effects the outcome of the battle are marginal. Not to offend anyone, but if you needed more than one to win a pve battle, odds are you were pushing your luck trying to fight that battle in the first place. There's nothing wrong with that. It's fun to see how far you can push it sometimes, but when you're pushing the edges of your ability, expect to lose sometimes. No shame in that. Shows you had the guts to try something that wasn't easy.

seems to me to be just REALLY annoying the change they made. For those of us casual gamers out there, this really makes a difference in flashpoints.....we can't always get the team composition that BW assumes is readily available every time you want to play.

Flashpoint bosse fights can go on for quite some time and I don't see how letting us use medpacs to help out our single healer we might have found on the rep side is a game changer

stupid change
/agree, stupid change. It's either a senseless nerf designed only to make things harder, OR (more likely) It's what WoW did. They seem hell bent on doing everything the same way WoW did it. /shrug I know you guys hate comparisons to WoW but sheesh... it's fraking impossible not to when they copy paste everything WoW does like this.

I have to agree with LordShanon. I stopped playing WOW for a reason, they were making stupid changes. I think SWTOR is a great game but don't make the same stupid changes that WOW did. One medpak per fight is just ridiculous, It was a stupid change in WOW (brought on by a minority of players saying the game was too simple which Blizzard listed too and changed for everyone).

Change them back to the way they were.
