Up untill 1.2 War zones was fun, an had a chance of ganing some XP other than questing, or space mish. But now if a person do's not get atleast 4 what ever then their is no XP or nothing. A person can be second from the top with damage delt, but if that person do's not have atleast of what ever's that person dos not get quat. An now PVP War zones are not even worth the efert of gitting ganged *****, do to the pug that person is on can not get their act to gether. so untill somthing is doon, I am not going to run no more war zones.

Other than that ever thing else is great, keep up the great work.

One of your primary design goals should be to keep casual players interested.

There are a lot of reasons for this but the most basic is that the wolves don't like fighting other wolves.. they like to kill sheep.

Now the casuals aren't going to play in a system that is absurdly unbalanced when they visibly do not progress. The design of rewarding the best pvp'ers with better gear that gives them more advantages in pvp is terrible. Denying rewards outright because of a participation system is salt on that wound.

Any system designed to not reward afk's should be all but invisible to the real players. Don't punish me or limit my rewards because of afk's.. I'd rather you just give them the rewards than what you have now which encourages bad play to farm badges.

Overall consider this a vote of no confidence in your PvP design. As I see it once ranked does come those who can will farm ranked gear and then go back to easymode dominating with an even bigger gear advantage. If the goal is to lose players and discourage people from pvp'ing then you are headed down the right path.

In forums like these, especially in MMOs, emotions tend to run high as people debate so I try not to fan any fire and exhort the negatives.

But I must say, the amount of comms, credits and xp rewards being drastically reduced (either winning or losing), coupled with the retardly expensive costs of gear and consumables, together with the gear gap between recruit and BM, really forced me to break my silence.

I'm very, very disappointed with PvP in 1.2. Previously, losing games weren't so damning because you knew you could have gotten something if you tried. Now, even if you were flushed with medals (e.g. 8), you could be hit with a 30 comms return. Thats adding insult to injury.

Thus far, from my perception it seems like there is overwhelming unhappiness with regards to the state of PvP in 1.2. I don't know how your small patch is going to change this, but you really need to start listening to your customers.

Anyway, Bioware,

Reading the forums that is swarmed with unhappiness and legitimate complaints, then saying that "we know better, you just need to suck it up and deal it the news rules" =/= listening to the fanbase.

I've never been a big PVP player in my 10 years of MMO's but I was here. I felt I was doing decent at it to. I started doing it for the cash. It wasn't great but with out the decay in Pvp I could keep my head afloat. Plus score a level over my current quest that helped out so much! Now I hardly ever get anything unless my team wins. I que solo so I mostly end up with a bad bunch of players. I'm not saying reward me excessively but a little change incourages more to get involved. Even if your losing. Tiny bit of XP would be nice since you taken that away.

Copied this from another post and it pretty much somes it up!

That is so true!

First of all, thank you for the reply and acknowledging some of the problems with the current system. Thank you also for making some changes. Hopefully they work better than the system now in place.

Unfortunately, I'm a little confused about the reasoning for the bolded statement. If you are on a team that is losing, in most cases the BEST thing you can do is just huddle up on a turret or capture point and soak up defender points. Huttball of course is the obvious exception, but if you're outmanned/outgunned in Huttball, the only thing you can do is wait for the other team to win.

Since losing only gets you commendations for the medals you earn, standing around and getting 3-4 defender medals is better than hopelessly attacking a node and just getting killed.

I also thought that the PvP daily quest was being changed to collecting a certain number of WZ medals to incourage players to stay for the end of the match instead of leaving early. If that wasn't the plan, it should be. Something like earn 30 WZ medals would be perfect. If you win, most of the time it's still going to take 3 WZs to get 30. And if you lose, you still get credit for playing. Make sticking around for the end of a WZ WORTH doing and that will keep people from quitting matches early.

Unless the reward system is fixed. I just hit 50 on my main just prior to 1.2. Without gear I cannot compete. I get no rewards so I get no coms and therefore no gear. So what's the point? !.2 ruined PVP.

Considering going to DIII when it releases.

The shame is I used to love this game. Now I'm saddened at the changes.

Yeah. I don't know what happened to that. I don't know if that medal PVP quest even made it to the PTS. (Didn't have a level 50 to check).

But I'd much rather have a set of medals that I have to go and get, rather than see if I can get lucky and not go up against a full battlemaster team with half of my team still dressed in blue and green gear.
