Yep. And the fanbois will be all defensive about bw saying LOOK THINGS ARE GETTING BETTER when they should just undo the 1.2 pvp mess completely and start again on the PTS, only listening this time.

PUG Warzone game wins are decided by team make up before the game even starts. You cannot implent a system that rewards winning more than losing until this problem goes away(and it never will).

Commendation gain for losing is terrible - What’s the point of gating PVP gear anyway? You stated you would like people to be on an equal playing field, yet you are still rewarding winners with a progression rate much faster than that of losers - this is the last thing I would have expected.

Make the incentive for winning the daily / weekly quests. You could also look at adding additional quests that auto update based on the WZ you join (just like a PVE area quest) – they could be objective based and would only award completion for completing the WZ match. This means people stay in games, commendation gain is roughly the same rate and gear disparity won’t be a massive problem within a week of a major patch – this is Illum Valor farming all over again ….

The initial rollout of this patch is disappointing to say the least, and as a solo player that sometimes groups (if my guild is ever online) its loss after loss for republic.

You need to think long and hard before you make big changes like this. Now that you have more objective-based comm tallying, you need to balance the objectives across classes. Didn't think about that, did you? As a healer I can't carry the huttball all the way, and get Dink for healing the ball carrier. If I want to get as many comms as my teammates in novarre coast, instead of doing my job, I need to stand by the objective points, and heal myself the whole warzone. That's asinine. Instead of rewarding you for team play, it rewards you for premade play and beat-the-warzone-scoring play. 1.2 has turned me off to TOR completely.

Pretty much this. I have no control over who joins my team- the last WZ I played before giving up for the night had multiple fresh 50's with little expertise or HP. Nothing against them (though yes, they should buy recruit gear, but credits can be hard to come by after what you spend hitting 50) but how is that team in any way expected to win? It's back to the olden days of quitting a WZ as a 50 because of too many sub 50 players on your team being a likely loss. Other variables like premade vs. pug, starting with 5-6 players, or different numbers of healers make it even more of a crapshoot. I like to play, and don't mind a challenge but it's neither fun nor challenging to go 0-for the night like tonight just for the daily or weekly reward thanks to something I have no control over.

Also who's idea was it to leave the price of War Hero gear the same after removing ranked warzones? I've been playing since patch day and haven't even cracked 1900 ranked commendations, why should I bother improving my Battlemaster gear at this rate? I understand a feature needing more work, that's part of playing an MMO but it's just sloppy to think that feature existed in a vacuum. It's nice some changes are being made to help filler players but at this point who doesn't know they're headed for a mess most of the time the queue insta-pops? Anyone who might help the team is probably hitting "Leave Queue" and waiting a minute or two since it's a better use of their time.

Same here, last war zone for the evening was a huttball match against the Imps. 4 people on our team had over 15K health I have 17K in change. The rest had sub 13K one had 11K.

There is simply no way to compete with that kind of gear gap when the Imp team were facing is War Hero and above. It might as well have been 4v8.


Again nothing against the un geared it's just if there is going to be this kind of gap in the gear at least make the que system take gear into account when making the teams.

Last night I was in the new Warzone on an alt. We won 100% to 0%. We got 100 commendations. I don't know how many the other team got, but I bet it wasn't a lot.

You shouldn't reward a single player based on the teams success or failure. You as a developer are getting paid less because someone you work with sucks at their job. Why should I get less reward now because I randomly get put in a queue with 7 people who may not be good, or undergeared, or whatever.

The system is flawed.
