The question of the month: Will you keep your subscription up? and why?

I too stupidly paid for the CE (at least I have a statue to show for it *roll eyes*), but I'll not be re-subbing after 1.2

To me, I've finished KOTOR 3 and now it's time to find something else, that doesn't charge me £8 a month to play.

If it went free, of course I would stay, but it's not worth the money...no where near it.

I'll be keeping my sub up. I'm still enjoying the game, and still don't have a level 50 character.
The average person thinks he isn't.

Unsubscribed right before 1.2... still had some gametime left so i tried it out. The changes was refreshing and made the game fun again! subscribed for another 3 months.

Great job Bioware!

Cancelled sub a few weeks ago after finishing everything there was over and over and then some.

If this game had not had the Star Wars theme, I would never ever have played it. The mmo model made popular by WoW does not appeal to me at all.

->Obtain max level
->Obtain best gear
->Make higher tier of gear
->Raise level cap
->Rinse & Repeat

Just way too shallow for me. And it's probably getting old for many as well.

Looks like EA's stock took one to the knee as well, good riddance.

I will be unsubscribing.
The pvp has gone to the dogs, to put it without expletives which I wanted to use to express myself.

Gear gap is awful, and self perpetuating, and getting rapidly worse depending on population and which side has the better geared and or better premades.

It could have had something, but making it even more heavily gear based, making the gear impossible to obtain if you are consistently losing, and punishing staying in losing matches (or joining a losing match) mean the precious little time I do get to play and relax I get no reward for.

Patch 1.2 removed all incentive to play (and lose).
What you will see in coming days is same faction vs faction pvp because certain servers where this disparity is enormous, will see those people getting sick of being farmed and getting nothing. They will either leave the faction, the server, or the game entirely (which is more likely)

Add to this the fact that any gear I had already earned was bettered by gear that can be bought with credits, and my hard fought and earned battlemaster ranking now means absolutely nothing, as any fool that can afford a BM piece can now wear it.

I don't find pve content challenging at all, the hard modes are about where normal mode could be, the hard modes need puzzles/tactics/co-ordination included rather than just a dps fest (which again is gear based) to beat an enrage timer, the rest of the flashpoint is just boring, and boss fights are only mildly interesting because I need to click as fast as I can. Too few game mechanics, repeated in too many flashpoints ad nauseum.

In summary:
PvP is now not worth attempting. 1 or 2 wins vs 8 losses....why would I bother?
PvE is boring
In short, patch 1.2 will be bad for business for BW.
You screwed too many people over,

1.2 is basically the stuff that should have been there upon release. It isn't anything to be excited about from my point of view. I am disappointed with the end game content especially space combat and warfronts. 4 little warfronts isn't enough to make me resubscribe. They are simply, tiny, and boring. Where are the walkers, turrets, and explosive combat like Hoth battle one would expect. Even World of Warcraft has tanks and stuff...and thats fantasy genre! Bottomline bioware rushed out a product and it is lacking. Might be great a year from now but population will probably be dead by the time they get it right. It is already declining now...see ya bioware!

Keeping my sub, because I'm having fun.
When I stop having fun, I'll quit.

Well, if you finished KOTOR 3, did you also finish KOTOR 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10?

the question is will I keep my subscription up .. my answer is I do not know for sure... 1.2 was as someone said before fluff... stuff that should have been in the release version, most of the new stuff appears only to be usable by lvl 50 players, so I might take my time and get there and then decide... HOWEVER.. as people have reminded me of this before WoW had the same issues when it first came out... and now look at where it is.. yes it appears it is at a dead end with the kung-fu panda expansion , and you can only have so many older and more powerful "gods" trying to take over azeroth that eventually it just gets tiring, BUT it took them 8 years to get to that point... IF bioware gets its head out of it's arse and fixes many of the game mechanics .. (such as "strong" level mob hitting like champion lvl mobs) .. seems as though some one just took a template and used all the same stats for the higher "rated" mobs and just named them differently.. perhaps they could spend more time on content... as swtor is set in an ever expanding universe so the stories are almost endless.. perhaps in a far off future expansion you get to interact with the main characters of the star wars storyline.. who knows.. or perhaps you get to battle the infinate empire as it comes back from some far off galaxy .. who know.. but for the time being bioware has to listen to the players .. fix the bugs.. and generally work on bringing new content to the game ... or it will go the way of everquest, swg, warhammer and lotro...

so to answer the question, I might keep my subscription open for a lil while longer if I see improvement I'll continue, if I see stagnation .. (like I see with wow) I'll go.
