Thank you for your post. I feel the game just is not as much fun any more. I hope bioware reads this and can make some meaningful changes to rectify this situation.

I don't expect everything to be accomplished in a month or two but it should be set up to make some kind of meaningful accomplishment per week. It was that way before 1.2 now its just not so. :-(

Personaly I like just about everything they did with this patch (except for the misshap which caused almost a full days worth of downtime), it's a big step in the right direction.

Btw, which part of the subscriber subset should they listen to since they can't listen to everyone, that simply wouldn't work?
Bingo

This is what you get from what WOW brought to table

The instant gratification crowd.

Not their fault really, Blizzard handed them everything with out effort and now any curve that challenges is met with complaint.

In beta this game was set to easy side of normal, new MMORPG players (last 7 years to now) complained was to hard and Bioware turned it down to Easy mode setting at launch

This is just the same complaint but about rewards rather then leveling.

I was caught off guard at 600k for a guild bank but shrugged and moved on.

I suspect the complaints will continue until the prices are lowered though

Sad but the modern gamer doesnt want challenge! They want success with out effort.

I can not like how Bioware handled the 1.2 release bussiness wise but the prices being high make the items worthwhile imo. Something to work toward. Something to earn that maybe everyone else shouldnt get.

Personally I applaude the raising of the bar to create character seperation and unique identity!

But honestly I wont be surprised when the prices are dropped by a huge margin.

As thats the style now.
In regards to lessening F2P and Preferred restrictions
In GAMING, as in LIFE,
You get what you pay for
No game restriction is so dire that $15.00/month will not eliminate it

If listening to us is what brought Bioware to gimp my Bodyguard Merc, I'd ask that Bioware ignore us from now on.

Well the fact that this person considers having mismatched talent trees and a crafting system where all the crafting skills except biochem are useless "perfectly fine" is a pretty good indicator that we shouldn't be taking design advice from them.

You are one voice among more then a million.

Sounds to me like you just don't like change, much less evolution or improvements (meant to appeal broadly across the very large subscriber base).

As major patches for MMOs go, the 1.2 patch for this MMO is excellent. So I have to disagree with your complaints, especially since they were largely sweeping and generalized to a large extent. Basically, If I read you correctly, everything except the UI updates sucks. Sorry, I simply cannot agree with you.

To pick just one example of where I disagree with you 100%:

Sorry, but the armor matching schema is outstanding. I don't need to try to find color matched gear, or mess around with dying, or be forced to look like I'm wearing a clown costume. Sorry pal, this feature is an outstanding improvement to the game.
When you find yourself surrounded by hostile Clowns... always go for the "Juggler" first.

I disagree, remember how fast they responded to all the QQ about not getting 30 days free. Also, I dare say that most changes in 1.2 were made based upon player feedback.

That there are features that you personally dont like, does not mean they dont listen. Besides, if you dont present a solution to the problem your complaining about then your not really helping them anyway.

And I guess this is the crux of our disagreement, because I absolutely think it is currently so. A guild bank in 3 days of dailies is meaningful. A social skill or something in a week is meaningful. Some of the rewards take more than a week, which is to be expected. It doesn't mean that a week's worth of progress toward said goal is meaningless.

If anything, my dissatisfaction is with some of the rewards in and of themselves. For instance, cutting the Emergency Fleet pass from 18 hours to 12 hours is fairly meaningless to me. Either way it's still likely only usable once per day.

But as far as getting everything you want...it's meant to take a while. And they've even provided multiple avenues for folks to earn what they want, so you can pick your poison. Myself I don't really enjoy grinding credits but I enjoy questing, so I'll be unlocking things through play, rather than muscling through with credits.

I gave up on SWTOR cuz it just isn't fun anymore. Just that simple. Had high expectations and was disappointed. The game just isn't fun and the Legacy stuff won't matter...it is still not fun.
