Looks absolutely hideous.

1/10

Look, we got four or five of the main characters on this ship. I think we're gonna be okay.

The sad things is...they probably do!

This game has a serious issue in terms of character look, something that needs to be addressed, and soon.

Let me cite some examples:

- Lack of "civillian" heavy armor models: We have companions like Qyzen Fess and Corso Riggs, both of which are not Republic Military, and neither are Jedi either. Yet, finding suitable looking "civillian" armor (think Bounty Hunter here) is difficult, or extremely limited. And, if you bring some Bounty Hunter gear over from the Imp side, it just converts to the Republic equivalent.

- Trooper Armor: Granted, we have access to all kinds of looks and colors. Problem is, trying to establish a consistent look and color scheme in various level ranges. I want my troopers (ie Companions) to match me, we are in the same unit afterall. Color match went a long way to helping out our Trooper characters, but it does nothing for our companions, who are still a mismatch of a variety of colors and styles, standing right next to our perfectly matched awesomeness.

- Tag limitations: It's beyond time to remove the "Smuggler", "Jedi Knight", "Trooper", "Bounty Hunter" etc. tags from the orange armor selection. I find a piece I like, I want my companion to match, and yet, if I try to put it on my companion, I can't. They aren't officially considered a "Trooper" or whatever. Example, I like the "Commando" set made by Armormech. I'd love to put Aric Jorgan and I in it, but I can't because the restriction to Trooper means Aric can't wear it!

- Lack of PANTS: Jedi Knights, can wear simple cloth pants. Smugglers can wear simple cloth pants. Even Troopers, in the beginning, wear simple cloth pants. Consulars? Wear a skirt! For crying out loud, grab 3 or 4 or 10 of the pre-existing pants from other classes, change the stats to Willpower, and the Armor Classification to Light, and put them in the dam game already! Yes, this has been slightly addressed by the addition of the "Formal Wear" being added in 1.2, but I'd like to have some options beyond 1 pair of pants please!

- Lack of iconic Jedi stylings: We have seen Jedi wear a variety of looks through the movies, the Clone Wars cartoons, books, comics, games, etc. Yet, for the most part, creating those looks in game are impossible. Instead, we have robes, robes, and more robes, with hoods up. How about some simple tunics? Or some armor like Anakin and Obi-Wan wear during the Clone Wars? Or the simple outfit Alya Secura wears? Or even Asohka Tano? How about the simple wear that Luke uses in A New Hope and Return of the Jedi? How hard can it be to create some new basic orange gear pieces, using these "simple" looks, and scatter them about throughout the game in a variety of locations and level ranges?

- One last thing, and just a personal pet peeve....I'd like to have a playable Mon Calamari now, please?
Look, we got four or five of the main characters on this ship. I think we're gonna be okay.

2/10 for effort.

The Counselor ove set cracjed me up, it reminded me of the Egyption slaves or something. I hate the armour for my Sage for pvp and will only save up my comendations for the Battlemaster gear instead. I'd say only the troopers look like troopers, I'd have a hard time guessing what the other classes were though.

I dont know though lotro had some pretty ugly gear sets and now their pvp sets are less to be desired. Not as bad as some of these but comparable.

1/10 and that is only due to the effort to come up with the armor.

The Jedi warrior looks like a bug man and other characters look like can-openers. Jedi sage continues the tradition of having the most terrible choice of gear of any class.

I actually wouldn't mind if there were a lot of endgame armor sets and one of them was a bit of a novelty item. Kinda crazy and silly looking for a bit of fun.

I have little desire to continue end-game with my 50 sage, that has the choice between homeless guy garbage cloak (the best one of the lot) carmen miranda's banana tree wedding dress (I can't stand the sight of it) and 80's retro skirt with Viking helmet.

I like it, plus, you repubs QQed about how "awesome the imperial side gear looks like" and here you have it! Republic gear meets imperial undertones. Personally, i can't wait to lvl my trooper up and roll in that gear =)
