Also experiencing ambient sound issues, especially when on board my player ships. The sound is like en electrical buzzing/arcing and is really annoying. This wasn't a problem before the patch.

A few players have confirmed that this has successfully restored conversation functionality for them.

For the other sound issues, please be patient for now, as soon as we do have more information available, we will update you.

Thank you for your understanding.
The fix you recommend is pretty lacking.
First off the only fix seems to be to log off the game and back on every hour or so.

The problem seems to be a memory leak in the game dealing with the sound drivers.
It behaves like one as it progressively gets worse as time goes on.....

I've been having sound issues since 1.2 as well. I hope they are fixed with the patch today.

Just adding my 2 cents I have the issues as described here and it makes playing a game a painful experience, if your intention with the free month of play and all the other little gimmicky things you've been doing lately is to retain players, I strongly recommend addressing this sound issue first.

Today's patch did not correct the sound issue. Annoying...

I tried to repair as you suggested, nothing changed.

The repair function is a WAG excuse that is the first thing they will always ask you to do.
It's a "maybe one file didn't get updated and this will fix it" guess that has the lowest odds of fixing anything but still necessary to confirm it anyway.

And no, it didn't fix mine either.

I can also confirm that the speeder movement noise and conversations didn't get fixed in latest patch.
We'll see if that "Ghost 747" taxing around (eg blasting jet noise) shows up tonight when I can play longer. For me that was the #1 thing to get fixed amongst the rest of the sound issues.

Based on the patch notes (that I can finally get to), no sound issues were addressed anyway.

I am very sad to hear that the sound bug was not fixed with todays patch.
I can't understand that BW allow a bug like this to exist as long as it has.
What will all new players joining through the free weekend pass think when the game don't even have it's sound playing correctly.

For me this sound bug is so annoying that it actually makes don't wanna play the game.
Guess that the free month I will get is compensation for the month I will stay away until the sound bug is fixed.
Maybe I find some other game during this month to keep me away for good?
