Hail to the investigators!

Bad news though - For the constant loud jet engine noise at fleet that we all seem to have experienced, please be aware that I have just had this issue at the Imperial base on Ilum.
It started about 20min after arriving.

Leaving the base the sound starts to diminish but no matter how far you go it always seems to be there.

I could swear this is related to one of the large speeders. I don't seem to ever hear it until they start showing up.

It was suggested to me in-game to try Ctrl+A to toggle Ambient Sound, this didn't work for Ambient sound or the Jet Noise.

The always on speeder sound (movement sound while stopped) is a separate issue that should be looked at as well.

I spent most of the day doing missions on Balmorra (Empire) today, and for about 8 hours, there were strange issues where some voice dialog problems and some combat sounds did not play. After I finished, I did some space missions, and there were also issue where some sounds were not being played.

I'm not entirely sure it's a audio issue because during dialogs, when there was no sound, the NPC's mouths didn't move. They were making gestures like they were talking, but no voice was being heard and their mouths were not moving. I had subtitles on, so I was able to follow the stories, but it really ruined the entire experience from an immersion standpoint.

I hope this gets fixed soon.

I stopped doing quests myself because they turn into WoW quests without any voiceovers.

I seem to be having similar sound issues, but mostly in relation to force lightning. I posted the following in PVP...

"Force Lightning seems to be leaving a perpetual static buzzing sound that doesn't stop until you reload back into the game out of the warzone. It drowns out everything but the horrendously obnoxious Novare coast voice-overs & pew-pew of the lasertag Civil War turrets which seem to blanket even the static."

After two bug tickets being deleted without an answer, I got what appears to be a canned response to the constant Speeder movement sound with the in-game bug report system.

Their solution - "We would like to inform you that you can turn off these sounds by turning off the volume of the ambient volume to zero."

Ctrl+A is broken btw so sure, move the ambient noise slider to 0 and turn off every sound fx not related to your character. Not exactly a fix.

I was looking for an acknowledgement that it's a bug or a confirmation that it is indeed intended to be that way in 1.2 from now on. Not a "if you don't like it, turn it off" answer.
