If your bank starts charging monthly fees on your account, they have to notify you in advance. If they temporarily offer free toasters to people opening/upgrading accounts, they don't have to notify you (although they might choose to).
Except that this - free give away - is exactly what happened? If you had orginal BM, it got only boosted. If you had it remoded - nothing was done, your gear was untouched, your monthly fee is still same. Expertise changes are in patch notes, and those are always subject to change. Inflation happened, your monthly fee worth has changed.

Now there were few people that listen to news and decided to change currency of their fee and pay less as result, but no one can blame bank for not calling each client personaly and asking if them want to change that.

Patch was released on standard 1.x.0 patch day, and people that wanted to know when it's to come knew it would be this week. But it's not main issue in this thread. If it was, my reply would be - patch was on PTS for a month, you had time to prepare.

Admittedly what Bioware has done regarding Battlemaster, was very stupid and unfair but we knew this was coming a long time ago, in fact enough time to replace your old set with a new set if you are a keen pvper.

There were several threads complaining about this issue weeks ago . This is a bit like shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted.

I stopped reading the forums once the game came out, I'd rather play the game then read about it. The forums are basically full of trolls and useless garbage for the most part anyway.

Never in a million years did I forsee a situation like this arising, however. Sure, classes getting changes, loot getting changed, these things happen. But I have *NEVER* seen gear changes happen in such a sloppy, lazy, haphazard and quite frankly, unfair fashion.

See what I had was, faith in the developers. Also, I've been playing these kind of games for 20 years - NEVER in that period of time has such a thing happened - even in a free game, let alone one I am PAYING for. So, no, I did not see it coming. Even if I had though, this would have cost me a fortune. I only pvp, I don't have THAT much in the way of credits. Remodding 2 full sets of battlemaster, and digging all the mods out of the other gear it was put into (on companions and all over the place) would have cost probably 2 million credits. Seriously, I'm expected to do that and be happy about it?

If that's how you think a game company should run itself, I have some sand to sell you.

So you are crying that you:

* didn't pay attention to what is happening on the PTR
* are content that you will worry about "patches when they come out", and now that they have come out, you are crying that your gear (which is exactly the same as it was before) hasn't been upgraded after the patch.
* crying that PVE content is too easy, yet you didn't even bother clearing it when it was actual progression (for the record pve in THIS game is easy, but you use the same retarded arguement that strict pvp'ers use for not doing PVE)
* crying that you think a "better way of handling this" could hav ebeen done, yet you offer no solution: a solution including all code and technical support to implement such a solution, because obviously you are a software programmer and know best, right?

TL; DR: QQ

I will say that the changes made to making some tokens/commendations obsolete was REALLY bad, as they did not state in the notes they were going to do that (check the currency section of the patch notes).

I will fully support anyone that has this issue.

I think in 6 months to a year this game "might" be where its supose to be now. Minute i start getting my gw2 beta invite or weekend invites im gonna part ways and watch this game.

I think dr phil said it best the best way to judge someones futures action is look at thier past actions and so far all ive seen is a huge amount of lies and PR and clusterbleep after clusterbleep. I dont know how this game's gonna survive when its asking a monthly fee and no real open world pvp and i know some people can have warzones be thier main pvp but i refuse to do that. I cant do those warzones more then 2 a day at the least.

As for the gear i think all of this mess is b/c of the ranked wz not launching with this. What people that do play this game still with me are confused about the gear and what gear you can do this and that its just a mess and waste of time atm.
We have an entire team dedicated to adding content and features to player vs. player. We have some of the most experienced PvP developers in the world on this team.James Ohlen Ilum is bieng reworked as it wasnt a fun or exciting experience

+1 to the OP and pretty much everyone else for being spot on and hitting the big ugly Biofail nail on it's head.

...see you all in D3 and GW2.

its so strange that people are rude to the OP about their situation.

as if they were doing something wrong, by not hunting through heaps of patch notes etc.

The thing is, with major changes like this a warning is sent out in all other games thats clear.

The mathmatics are so different now, and no one had any info on how to decide how many credits to spend etc..and the cost to swap the mods was so excessively high anyway...its really not fair for so many reasons, let alone the short notice.

people who play all day everyday and read the forum every night are not the biggest % of people.

2 days is short notice and regardless nothing was explained very well.

and this is why you keep up with the forums and patch notes boys and girls. every mmo posts their patch notes on their forums so unless this is your first mmo you have no excuse
