It was not just fine for shadows.

Shadows dont need even a single point of accuracy.

The battlemaster gear excessively loads it up with something like 500 accuracy.

Unlike other classes that get some benefit from it..we get the least because our skills are all alredy 100% instead of 90% like most classes (our basic, unused melee attack is 90 but our force skills..which are the only attacks we use..are already 100 by default)

So like I said before we were forced to.

Also you cant blame players for working hard to be better and doing anything they can to get an edge. Thats what gear is all about.

If you are saying certain mod combinations were unfair because 1 guy worked harder than the other for his gear...I can understand that being problematic..but it isnt the players fault.

its the fault of the company who gives the players those mechanics to work with.

i don't feel sorry for you... if there's anyone you should be mad at, it's yourself... harsh lesson learned imo...
As many people already have pointed out, most players already changed the enchancements months ago. And I for one saw no reason paying creds to keep the useless acc/alacrity mods, so I obviously destroyed them.

So basically reading the patchnotes wouldnt matter squat for this matter. The patch would destroy all the gear youve grinded with blood, sweat and tears for the last 4 months, and theres nothing you could do to stop it. BW just totally screwed me and ALOT of other people off with this crap.

This is the most griefing I have experienced in any game. To me it is basically the equivalent of someone hacking my account and stripping all my gear clean. And the funny thing is this is done by the game company itself. Utter horrid.

If you put in the massive time to play MMO's, you gotta read about them as well, your class, etc...

I will say, however, that there is a lot of crap to siphon threw on these forums, and a lot of trolls, but there can be some very useful info too
You mean the way we read from the Devs that Legacy items would be Legacy Levels OR credits, and not both, then log into the game and find out that the items that are worthwhile and not fluff are Legacy Levels AND credits, and not just a few credits, but millions of credits?

Bioware or whomever is in charge of all of this has completely lost track of the playerbase in this game. They have no idea about what it is like to play this game. They make ridiculous changes like this, touting this patch of 1.2 to be their game's savior, however, instead, it has become the fuel for unsubscribing. I can tell you I have.

The 1.2 changes have made this game too complicated to play because the goals are not worth the effort. It has made everything I achieved prior to it basically useless and made the areas of the game that I enjoy nothing but a grind-for-nothing fest.

yea im afraid im quiting over the pvp.i cant stand war zones and there is no open world pvp any more so for me this game is a dead horse

Seems to be two sets of posters.

The first doesn't read patch notes, and is shocked and angry that something happened that they didn't know about.

The second didn't/couldn't change mods back, and are angry because their gear is "worthless". Funny part is, most of these are also the ones that were posting that gear is freely handed out, and now they cry about grinding out a few pieces.

Um, Bioware doesn't publish patch notes for Live until after the patch is released. People really shouldn't be required to read the forums and all of the Community Q&A in order to know about significant changes that require pre-planning/preparation by players. There should have been in-game notifications on login for at least a week before this change went live.

I agree with the op.

Lucky for me I read the forums quite a bit. So the night before I just replaced my altered mods with he crappy bm mods ect.

I did his only because I planned for the worst. I could of just as easy left the mods alone in the bank and assume everything will be ok.

But hey, it's ea and bioware we are talking about.

Knowledge is power.

They gave ability to buy white crystals for limited time.
They allowed people to stock up on speeders that got removed from game to resell later.
They upgraded BM, and gave players that changed and saved mods way to take full advantage of this update.

Just so you know - they are also giving 30 free days if you get to 50 by 22th. Don't come back later telling you didn't knew.

1) There's a difference between a limited-time bonus and something that negatively affects existing stuff (the combination of BM gear changes and Expertise changes had a huge negative impact on people with remodded BM gear, 1.2 also made some tokens/commendations completely unusable).

If your bank starts charging monthly fees on your account, they have to notify you in advance. If they temporarily offer free toasters to people opening/upgrading accounts, they don't have to notify you (although they might choose to).

2) I follow the forums pretty closely, but I don't think we should be required to do so in order to get important information.

3) The 30 free days for having a level 50 (or a legacy level of 6, if you read the forums) is a case of offering a bonus, not taking something away (see #1).

4) Regardless of whether people knew what they had to do or not, the patch was released on a non-maintenance day, with short notice, and remodding gear has significant costs (in credits). As a result, it would have been extremely easy to have found yourself unable to do anything, despite following the forums closely.
