This isn't about being self-entitled. This isn't about being hateful. This is about calling out gross incompetence. Things like this, things like a lot of the bugs in the game...they just shouldn't happen if the devs knew and properly used best practices. There is a clear trail of consistent errors traceable to incompetence, laziness, negligence. Things like saying bugs are fixed when it takes less than a minute to go into the game after a patch and see that the bug that was claimed fixed was not fixed. Things like the diplomacy bug that shows the devs don't even understand how floats work. Things like the issue today...if only ONE dev had bothered to log in and take a look around--ONE dev, five minutes--they could have just extended the patch downtime, said there was a problem, but not looked like complete asses by revealing the level of their ineptitude. This is supposed to be one of the top MMOs ever to be released but it's being developed and managed like it's some college kid's class project. Sorry if I insulted any college kids who know and use development and testing best practices.

Patience is a virtue. So is knowing when to replace what was supposed to be a 'top' dev team that just can't handle their project and show no signs of improving.
Name me one MMO that had a smoother 4 months than SW:TOR.

Ofc it will, it is after all Star Wars.

That is the only thing that kept me here, but where i had a running sub with Galaxies till the end, even in the periods where i didnt play, simply because i wanted to suport the only SW MMO out there, i cancelled my TOR account yesterday.

Not even the fact that it is Star Wars can keep me here, TOR is just overall a very weak game...

Was a couple of weeks worth of free time in the first 6 months Live, I've no idea of the exact amount (it was quite a while ago, after all ).

I don't think they gave a blanket 30 days, but then the OP isn't talking about that the OP is talking about free time for down time.

And in all honesty WoW didn't need to at the time, they were struggling to bring up enough servers for the subs they had.
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?

I got a total of 69 free days, and my WoW account was active from 15/02/05 to 12/11/11, so yes they have been giving lots of free days, for various reasons.

Really? I played since wow 06 (still subbing, but hardly playing, but I can afford it) and according to my history we got 3 days free from 21/11 - 23/11, but no way in hell was it because of a 3 hours extended maintenance. And Blizz haven't given out any free days since '09, despite plenty of downtime beyond what was given as a time frame.

And I've been given a total of 12 free days from Blizz since 06. Talking EU servers here.

First the 30 free days (they showed they're listening to their more "pressed for time to play" customers, by giving them a chance to get it as well) and then the 1 free day is just a good a service as Blizzard has ever provided in that department.

Well done, Bioware.

I remember people saying the same thing, around the same time in games like WAR and AoC, and how are they doing today?

Dont kid yourself, people will be missed.

I know you fanboys want to tell yourself how awesome this game is, the sad truth is that it sucks tho, and the only reason it hasent tanked yet is the Star Wars tag.
