I will keep my sub up.
I like this game, simple as that.

I enjoy the game especially now that I've found an active guild. Bioware has been relatively quick to address the issues I had with it and their giving me free time as compensation for the features that are missing. Good things in the future for swtor and I'm excited to see what's in store.

So yes I will be subbing for the near term future. If content flows out at a good rate I don't see why I wouldn't.

I really enjoyed the game, but I did cancel my subscription because if BioWare doesn't value my support or loyalty, why should I keep giving them money?

I will, since there is no better alternative on the market (MMORPG). Tera? Yeah right. GW2? It is overhyped and people will complain on those forums too.

And by people I of course mean the group I like to call "mmo migrators".
People who go from game A, complain, then go to game B, complain, then go game C, complain there too, then go back to game A.

I have had it with fantasy MMORPGs. Honestly, I did. TOR is the only alternative to the Elves, swords and Fireball spells.
And it's Star Wars.

I cancelled and gave them my laundry list of complaints

they then asked for more details and I gave them that as well

I wont say ill never come back, Ill keep watching the updates and when they finally get to important community building content, I might retry.

Been around 21 years in MMORPGs now and I know clear as day when you focus on Raids/ops and pvp at the cost of the community (or lack of) your already going down a dead end street to F2P status.

Before WOW, MMORPGs survived on socialization and community and interaction.

WOW managed to promote raids and be successfull but they the only one, since them everyone failed trying the same mechanics as WOW.

Sadly also much of my complaints are the bias moderation of this site that allow fanbois to attack and slander and insult and harrass openly anyone that dared voice displeasure and you know what, I left jr high in the 70s, I dont need to see that crap every day and watch those that suppose to remove it just delete and ignore flags and reports because they defending TOR.

Sure fire way to show people your product in trouble, stop allowing people to voice their real concerns with out unreasonable responces or unreasonable censorship.

That was a huge part of why I cancelled, just had my fill of mindless fanbois that cant see 2 feet down their discolored noses.

I gotta admit as well, the side stepping and play on words so tthe DIDNT appologize for their massive screw up yesterday did make me laugh and shake my head in sadness at the dismissal of integrity once rightfully championed by just mentioning the name Bioware.

So I cancelled with 93 more days to go. I might reup to help friends and run out the timer but yeah, ill not likely reup.

And thats really quite sad to me as I really really really really really wanted to love this game and play for years and years.

but I saw all the content in beta and lately I just spinning my wheels on empty server. My 3rd server so rerolling yet again is completely out of the question.
In regards to lessening F2P and Preferred restrictions
In GAMING, as in LIFE,
You get what you pay for
No game restriction is so dire that $15.00/month will not eliminate it

If you have legacy level 6 you will get the free 30 days now.

Even if you don't, you will have until 22nd April to get either level 50 or legacy level 6. And then you will be eligible for 30 days.

That was probably me as well, but no problem. People really receive his slideshow very well.

For reference, if people have 40 mins to kill, have a listen to this guy's slideshow.

What else does Bioware need to do to show that you are a valued customer, other than giving you free 30 days and an in-game pet?

sounds like we started these games about the same time. I can see your point very well. Today's MMORPG gamer's are definitely not the old school variety, more like the Post WoW generation who seem to be the majority, unfortunately. I'll keep my sub up, only out of pure boredom and that I still have a month, now 2, thanks to Bioware. Once that is extinguished so will this game be.

Like you, I wanted to love this mess, but that was not going to happen. I've never played such a small, controlled game as this one is. For a game only 4 months old, I also have never seen one seemingly die so quickly, this may be a record. See you on the flip side.
