Regardless of the reasons, does anyone think that many other companies out there would do this to help with customer relations? I doubt it highly. If you went to McDonalds and they screwed up your order, and you complained about it....would you rather they say....

A. "Sorry, Dude, your S.O.L. Enjoy the crap we gave you.

or.

B. "We're very sorry to have inconvenienced you. Here, we'll take your name and you can come in and pick up a free meal on us next time your in town."

Would I go back to McDonalds EVER if they had chosen to tell me A? Absolutely not. Would I for B.? Most likely because it shows that they care enough about the customer and are not trying to make me want to take my business to BK.
So what? The game isn't perfect. No game is it's first few months of release. Some are better than others, some suck. In the end games like EQ2 and WoW only became what they are because of years and years of updates. So also will it be for this game. You can't have everything you want all at once. It just don't happen like that in the mmo world. I generally don't like to play a new mmo until it's been out for six months, because then I know that the majority of major bugs are gone and there will have updates. I liked this game enough in beta to play it from the start. Sorry if some people don't like the game, you can't say that BW is trying to screw you out of anything at all when it is you yourselves that have the power to screw bioware by dropping your sub. See ya, nice knowing you. I'll be having fun right here in ToR land.

General rule of thumb..the customer is always right. It looks like they are trying their best to acknowledge that.

Sorry if I offend, that is not my intention. Please forgive the bad grammar and other such problems...I've been very tired.
Good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun....

It's just annoying to read all those posts "yay bioware soooo nice", 30 days, Bioware must really care about us etc. .

And what is 1.2? Just additional mindless grind which is over again in a few weeks. But fair enough, it appeals to some.

I can actually agree with you there.

I agree. Now, people are going to expect a free month every time BioWare farts.

I wouldn't say it sucked so much as it had a lot of underutilized potential. After they made the ridiculous changes, then it sucked. That, however is for a different thread.

After the original announcement, I was up there at the front of the pack with my torch and pitchfork. I can understand why some people might still not be satisfied with this, but this does convince me that if people make enough noise, BW will listen.

This is a good thing, because it's one of the few signs of a living community in the game...there has to be cooperation and give-and-take between the company and customers. If those interactions are missing, if all we are to do is take whatever the company tells us, then we might as well be playing single player games or reading books.

So, I'm glad BW listened and recognized their customer relations snafu and will give them another chance. Hopefully, they will proceed more cautiously in the future, because although I've put my torch and pitchfork aside, I'll be keeping them within easy reach, just in case.

I find your signature very amusing. SWTOR probably has the worst retention value ever seen in the industry.

Yeah the compensated hate machine can't stand it when folks actually enjoy the game.
